On April 7th, I went to Regis in Monroe mall to get a relaxer put in my hair. On April 8th, my hair was falling out, especially at the nape of my neck.

On April 8th, I went to two different salons and two different stylists said the reason could have been from the chemical not being processed thoroughly, the chemcial left on too long or the chemical not being washed out thoroughly.

I went back to Regis, both the stylist and the manager agreed that there was breakage. In fact, the manager said she did not know why it would have broke off so bad. I asked her could it have been because the chemical was not washed out completely. She said possibly because I have a long neckline.

She offered me 1 free month of treatments there. I do not want to go back to any of Regis salons. Why? In November 2005, another stylist there at the same location dropped a curling iron in the middle of my forehead. I do realize mistakes happen. That is why I kept coming back to Regis.

On April 9th, I called Regis to let them know my hair was continuing to fall out. The stylist said she could refund my money. I asked the stylist if she was in my shoes, would that be enough for her? She said no.

On April 10th, I called Regis Corp. in Minnesota. I spoke with the person in charge of complaints in NC. She said the stylist agreed there were some issues. Interesting choice of words don't you think? She said she would refund me my money and give me a gift card of $60-$75 to have $10 treatments at any of their salons.

This is not acceptable. Two negligent acts within months of each other? I do not want any of Regis salons to be on my head anymore. At this point, all I was asking for was Regis to refund me my money, tip amount and to pay for me to go to a salon of my choice to get the necessary treatments.

My hair was long, thick and healthy. It did not get that way over night. Even if they gave me what I wanted. I would still be suffering. My hair would still be more damaged than what it was before Regis negligent act.

The customer service person at Regis Corp let me know she was not going to pay for treatments anywhere outside of the Regis salons.

Well, guess what, the damage is worse than I thought. On April 10trh, I went to a salon which gave me a $30 treatment. The stylist told me this treatment work best if I did not put any heat on my hair that day. I am an Afro-American. Not too many of us can wash and go our hair.

The stylist there also showed be strands of hair that were less than half the length they were suppose to be. She told me it was best for me to take it easy on my styling for the next couple of weeks. Extra pressure on my hair could cause even more breakage. She also recommended me 2 products to use on my hair at least 2x a week. The stylist thought it would be a good idea for me to come back to get the $30 treatments serveral times. I ended up spending $91.60 that day alone.

Today is April 12th and my hair is still coming out. It is very brittle. I have had to cancel plans. Today, I will see if I can find a wig to put on. I can not even get extensions. My hair is too weak and the nape of my neck has not enough hair to attach the extensions to.

Well, I want Regis to know that this is not acceptable. Checkout the BBB for Regis in MInnesota. They have a caption that states the Regis takes longer to resolve complaints than most. They even have some unresolved complaints as we speak.

Check out other websites. I printed off 3 pages of Regis complaints at that webiste alone.

I am seeking my money back, Regis to pay for treratments at a salon of my choice, and compensation for pain and suffering. I have literally been in this house since this negligent act occurred with the exception of me going to various salons and getting their opinion.

This negligent behavior has to stop. I am going to take an active stand. Ladies, make sure you check out the salon's reputation before trusting them. This is no small issue.
