I contacted you/Regus very early in request for renewal rates/terms on my office service lease. The tiny print says that 90 days prior to the expiration the client/tenant must notify Requs of their intent to terminate. I started 120 out requesting rates/terms. I was passed off, the next person "Sallie" sent me an email stating that I had until 5/31/13 and she made no mention that "time was of the essence" In fact, she said, I will meet with you, however (its early). I requested that "Sallie" provide me with rates again on 2/7. She did not do that and never did that. What she did do was execute an automatic renewal with a increase in rate of approximately 33%! I let her know politely that this was not acceptable to me and requested that she contact me. I was again ignored. I telephoned her and requested a call back, I was AGAIN ignored.
I went into her office today and requested her time. She agreed to speak with me and told me that it was too late for her to accommodate any rate negotiations. I reminded her that I requested rates 120 days out and she shrugged her shoulders. She went on to tell me that I was high-maintenance. I am outraged by that as I have been in the office approximately 15 days over 14 mo. I have had approx. 5 meetings in the conference room. She indicated that serving my needs was an imposition on her and her staff. She said that he staff had to screen my calls; that is ridiculous given that I can count on one hand the number of times that her staff has screened a call for me. Remember, I am only in the office 1 day/mo. on average! I wanted to be a happy Regus customer for years! And, I am not. I don't appreciate these games that Sallie and her crew played. Not to mention, hearing that I am too much trouble for her staff - given my rates.

What was your Resolution?

Hello, I just found out that the exact same thing has happened to me in my lease with Regus. They told me that instead of one more year of payment they will be cutting it down to three months. We have already signed a lease with a new office space so this means for three months we will need to pay rent for two spaces, one which we will not use (Regus).
Please tell me what happened to your case, what the resolution was and how we can get this fixed, thanks!

Slow Resolution - but a resolution no less!

After contacting an attorney, who advised me regarding my case, Regus' corporate office reached out and orchestrated a resolution to my situation. This would not have been possible without Ripoff Report and those who encouraged me to stand up to Regus. Thanks to all, Texas Gal

For some reason my 1st response report didn't come through. So here it is , pls call an attorney asap and tell him/her what happened. I think there is a class action law suit filed with many other individuals running small businesses, who feel just as like you do. You are not alone. Please get Sallee's real estate license # or broker license number under which she/he or the office is working and registered under.Google to find attorney(s) defending screwed tenant rights; screwed by Regus. Attorney(s)might be in other states, but it doesn't matter. They will listen to you and give you support! The law suit might me nationwide . Regus is making us all in real estate look bad. Pls call an attorney and tell what happened. Stop being ripped off by Regus.if you call and get voice mail from the attorney ,please make sure you repeat your call back number twice. thank you for standing up for small businesses and all the hard work we do. Start writing journal notes and record all your losses and try to write down how you were mistreated by Regus. Thank you for taking a stand!

Just read your report. I think there are other victims as yourself dealing with similar issues. I believe there is a class action law suit filed. Could be nationwide, don't know for sure. Please go on line and check for an attorney to call and talk about your concerns if you feel you have been miss treated by Regus. Great that you are taking a stand!
