I went to the store on Saturday, November 24 to rent a living room set coming the cost was $50.00 every two weeks. Kent told us that because it used he would let us purchase it for $250.00 and he said it would be paid off March 31, 2013 which was paid $400.00
March 31, came and Kent added 6 more payments to the used chairs which added $300 more to the contract

Of course the cost of the items is greater than market value. RAC is set up for people who have terrible credit. You get terrible credit when you borrow lots of money and don't pay it back. When you make a habit of buying things you can't afford, you eventually have two choices- do without, or pay ridiculously inflated prices buying from the only company that will do business with you.
I always think it's funny when RAC customers- who are ONLY RAC customers because their credit sucks- complain about high interest rates. Here's a way to avoid high interest- instead of going to RAC to buy what you want, do without, save your money, and pay cash at a store for what you NEED. Stop being irresponsible (and spare me the "then I got sick" or "then my husband got laid off" sob stories please- I swear every other RAC story includes these lines. Your misfortunes can't be made RAC's misfortunes, sorry.)
And above all, grow up and stop blaming other people for your problems. There's a reason your credit stinks, and you know it. Stop buying stuff until you get it fixed. In other words, you are in a deep hole of your own making- STOP DIGGING.
