Your Clinton, IA store is WORTHLESS. The manager, Jared, is rude, condescending, arrogant and continuously harrassing and arguing with his customers.
This started in December. We originally got a "used" couch and loveseat. Less than a week later, the back was falling off of the couch. We called Jared and he said we could trade it out. Something in their store took a week to deliver because "We can't help our people call in sick". While delivering this couch and loveseat, we tell the delivery guys that they have to come up the outside stairs and it wouldn't fit through the downstairs garage door, but they do it anyway. This results in scratches to my vehicle while bringing it in and they get it STUCK IN THE DOORWAY. They take it outside and when they get it up here, there is paint from my walls on it and tears in the back of the couch. Meanwhile, one of the delivery guys who is extremely large, keeps saying he can't wait to get out of this house. He didn't like climbing the outside stairs. It also wasn't covered when brought in and it was snowing. Also the coffee tables that were in boxes got all scratched up and huge rub spots and CRACKS on them. Of course, they couldn't have cared less.
Meanwhile, we call Jared and tell him about the problem. He says a replacement couch will be ordered. ALMOST THREE WEEKS LATER, we get the replacement couch and they had the back of that one gouged too. We mention the coffee tables and "they'll get us new ones and get a kit to fix the couch".
We're STILL waiting for that. Plus, we wanted a front load washer dryer. Employee named Kevin said that as soon as it gets in, they would deliver it. No phone calls, no nothing, until this morning when Jared called to argue with us and denied ever knowing there was a problem with the new couch and coffee tables and that they weren't going to bring the washer/dryer. This is BULL because we were sitting right there when the delivery guys called HIM and told him of the problems.
We told him to come get everything and we will go somewhere else. They were more than willing to come RIGHT NOW to pick it up but yet, it takes them a week to deliver something and you have to listen to excuse after excuse why they can't.
Needless to say, they're coming tomorrow to pick up the stuff and EVERYONE will now know what RAC in Clinton is like. My mother-in-law also rents 4 things from there and Saturday at the end of her week renewal, she is calling them and telling them to come pick up her things as well.
We'll save our money and go buy something outright.
