-Notification of the BK. Collection efforts STOP! Goes to our legal dept.
-District Manager goes to the meeting of the creditors for either A) reaffirmation of original agreement, or B) request for the return of merchandise. We are legal owners of all leased merchandise by the contract the customer has signed.
Sorry folks! It really is that simple!

Does anyone here even know the bankruptcy laws?
AUTHOR: Diago - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, June 24, 2010
Seriously people. He stated that his father sued RAC, he never once said in his report that it occured in bankruptcy Court. If you read over Bankruptcy laws, you would see that any future income (this includes money you would receive from lawsuits) is to be taken and split between your creditors (unless it can be claimed under an exemption; which doesn't exist in chapter 13).
With that said, there is a few things that I find interesting in this report. First off, if you filed a Chapter 13, that is nothing more then a reorganization bankruptcy. That means that you are paying a fee to the courts and they in turn take that payment and divide it between all of your creditors. What you are talking about, sounds more like a Chapter 7 to me than anything else.
Secondly, I find it hard to believe that an RAC employee would stand there cursing at you until cops showed up. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand RAC, I go to Aaron's, however; with what business I have done with RAC in the past, they don't seem like the type of company to hire those 'type' of people.
Lastly, going back to my first topic, I highly doubt you were able to get $6000 from RAC for violating an automatic stay. Sure, you might have gotten the PS3 for free, however; in order to collect any money from such an issue, you (or your creditors) would need to have had damages caused by RAC's actions. About the only thing you would have been entitled to, is if they took it and you had to go to court and force them to return it. In such a case, you would still pretty much be limited to reimbursement of any attorney costs.

Robert, what doesn't make sense to you?
AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

2. This guy's dad is a bankruptcy lawyer who not only got him out of his RAC debt, but also got him a settlement- which he's either "enjoying" or went to pay his creditors, that part of the story changes from post to post,
3. This guy posts his story on a public website, but says he "doesn't have time" to post the court docket number,
4. ...then he says the court docket number is "none of our business." Again, after posting his pathetic story on a public website.
5. He then proceeds to lose his temper and call the people who simply don't believe his lame story "douches" and "douchebags." Married to a woman with a Master's Degree. Bankruptcy lawyer for a dad. Right. We'll be hearing about his brain surgeon brother tomorrow.
So.....which part of Lewis's posts don't make sense to you? They are clear as day to me. Lewis is the kind of kid who will show up at school in September and regale his friends with how he won all the sporting events at summer camp, and when skeptics ask to see the medals, ribbons and trophies, will tell you A) he lost them, B) he doesn't have time to bring them to school, and C) they aren't any of your business.
He's been kind of amusing for a while, but I think his entertainment value has worn out here. Maybe he'll pop back in to call me a a "douchebag" once more, for old times' sake. :>)

Oh, and spare me the "bankruptcies are at an all-time high" drivel. You didn't get hit by a car or contract a deadly illness. You made a lot of incredibly stupid choices with your money. It's YOUR FAULT.
And "I didn't get bailed out?" Like hell you didn't- you are trying to sell us on the idea that a court bailed you out! Are you REALLY THIS STUPID?? You can't even keep your own story straight!
You've been owned, Liar. And deadbeat losers can't insult me. I make good money, and I pay my debts. Unlike you.
Your wife could have done soooooo much better.

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
And you totally made my day by accusing ME of being a leech- even if you are telling the truth (you aren't, and we all KNOW you aren't) the idea that some loser who can't pay his bills and got his daddy to bail him out of his debts using the court system is calling a person who WORKS for a living and buys what he can AFFORD (and doesn't need a Playstation 3 because, well, I'm an ADULT) is just hysterical.
I teach at a private school, btw, so I'm not taking public money. I understand your anger at teachers though- explains a lot about your grammar and spelling skills. Your teachers definitely let you down.
Please stop stamping your foot and calling people names. You are the one who started this with your stupid lie- what on earth would possess someone to post "I'm a loser who likes to waste money, but I got away with it because my daddy took time off from changing his son's diapers to bail his son out of his responsibilities?" You are just digging that hole deeper.
You are a liar. You won't post a case number because it doesn't exist. Now you're angry that you got called on your BS, so all you can do is keep coming here and blow more angry smoke. Go take some more of your child's money and waste it on toys for yourself, seems to be what you do best.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some papers to grade. Because I actually work for a living, something I doubt you have much experience with. Say hi to the nice people at CashStop for me the next time you pop in for a quick Payday loan.
(BTW, please consider adoption. Your kid deserves much, much better.)
You have time to make such vehement rebuttals but you just can't manage to post the case/docket number and the full name of the court that adjudicated your alleged lawsuit against them.
What a phoney! LOL!

Like a lot of little boys who find themselves caught telling fibs, he's now engaged in the art of stamping his foot, holding his breath and telling us he "doesn't have TIME" to give us the very simple information that would prove he's telling the truth. He does, however, have time to continue to post OTHER rants here, including calling me an "RAC thug" (you liked RAC just fine when you wanted to use it to rent expensive toys, though, didn't you, Lewis?)
Hey, Lewis- I'm a HS teacher with a Master's Degree and I don't work for RAC- but even when I was in High School as a student, I knew that shelling out thousands of dollars for something that retails for $400 was a bad plan. I also knew that if I was caught in a lie, the best solution was to just confess and limit the damage. There are so many things you haven't picked up on yet.
Again- I feel sorry for your child, and I hope you are lying about having him, too. Because his father's a lying knothead who doesn't know how to handle money. Or tell plausible lies. What he IS good at is spinning yarns and then calling people names when he's called on his BS. Now toodle on down to 7-11 to buy your daily supply of lottery tickets like a good boy.

So you signed a contract for this toy and now all of a suddent it's RAC's fault you can't make the payments and guess what...they expect you to pay them back. Seriously, I agree with the threads here listed...you are full of *** about this whole "story".
Hope you're happy that you got bailed out of your responsibilities. I am not an emplolyee of RAC, I'm just a person who it tired of people like you.
Enjoy your toy. I'll let you go now because I'm sure you have to go pick up your welfare check and food stamps now. I'm sure there is a new game you want to buy now too.

You have been asked numorous times to provide the case information on this 6K judgment. Yet you not only have NOT done so, you refuse because you don't want to waste your time. No Case/Docket = No Proof = False post.
By the way in the OP you stated that the 6K was dispursed among your creditors. Yet in your last post you said you were enjoying the 6K. So which is it did the creditors get the money or did you?

I think you guys for whatever reason are just pissy cause you coudlnt pull it off. They act so tough oh we are going to take you to court blah blah blah yea heard that one before. They never did cause they waste the air i breath. They had there chance to get there money they couldn't file the paperwork to file a claim against me. They received the notice not to collect on this account and they ignored it. I am sure most of you are smart enough by the 381 complaints filed against this company that they are worthless and need not to be in business anymore.
I really find it amusing that rent a center tried there hard ball collecting that they do and it backfired. I did enjoy my 6k dollars all at there stupidity.

1. Let's see the case number of your "victory" over RAC.
2. You aren't what you say, you are what you do. You rented a Playstation 3 for $33 a week for "about" 63 weeks- you signed a contract only a drooling moron with the economics sense of a retarded box turtle would sign, then you complained when RAC had the gall to demand you live up to your promise.
3. Then you crow about "beating the system." What a great lesson you taught that little child of yours"
A. Dad's an idiot with money
B. Dad's a liar (I'll take this back when I see the court record)
C. You can sign a contract and then get away with it if Daddy's a lawyer ( I bet daddy's your banker, too. Hell, he'll probably end up raising your kid.)
D. Did I mention that Daddy's an idiot with money?
E. Daddy's a little boy who "needed" a playstation so much he was willing to spend the family into bankruptcy to have one.
F. Did I mention Daddy's an idiot with money?
Please, before you post again, run your screed past your daddy for a little cleaning up. Because you couldn't string together a coherent sentence if your life depended on it, that's clear.
Go lie to someone else.

So your credit is in the toilet, you owe money everywhere, and you go out and RENT a GAME SYSTEM. Not a crib for your child, not an extra bed, a GAME SYSTEM.
I feel sorry for this guy's kid, I really do. His father is a total schmuck- and he has the gall to call RAC "idiots." This guy is going to be in and out of QuickCash stores for his entire life, blaming everyone for his idiotic choices except himself. "Winning" a settlement isn't going to do him a bit of good, because he thinks he "scored one for the little guy."
Yep, I feel sorry for this loser's kid- and anyone dumb enough to extend him credit. Heck, he didn't even know for sure how many payments he had left on the game system he had already paid for, several times over. Maybe it was 25 payments. Maybe it was 30. Whatever, it was only money he could have been putting into a college fund for his kid. Or at least some milk. Moron.
Sure. Nice tale of whimsy.
Sure. Nice tale of whimsy.
Sure. Nice tale of whimsy.
Sure. Nice tale of whimsy.
Judging from your intelligence level, however, I'm sure you were quick to find other ways to toss cash down the toilet.
Seriously- you "needed" a PLAYSTATION so much that you were willing to fork over $132 a month to rent one? You aren't ready to be out on your own yet. My guess is that you and RAC are going to be close acquaintances for a long, long time. And you'll be using CashStops, Payday loans and other "services" quite a bit during your journey through life. Good luck with all that.
