Useful Information - What's with the insults?
AUTHOR: Dave - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 11, 20131) Consumers not taking the time to understand the terms of an agreement.
2) Consumers sign documents and really don't care what the terms are
3) Consumers should not purchase items they can't afford.
I often see post where the responses insult the original poster. How does that help anything? Why call the original poster a "deadbeat" ? Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe they did have the means to purchase the equipment but decided to go to RAC because of advertising and then due to 1 or all of the items above found out it turned out to be a bad deal.
Not everyone that has poor credit is a "deadbeat". Poor credit may have been due to an extended job loss, medical situation, or other issue beyond the control of the consumer. In these cases places like RAC and sub-prime lenders make it possible for consumers to get items they need and the loans can help rebuild credit. However, the consumer must take responsibilty in knowing the terms prior to the purchase.
Having said all that, if a person defualts on an agreement then they need to take responsiblity for it and stop blaming the company/lender for their inabilty to make payments. Late charges, high interest, collection calls, repo's for non-payment are not ripoffs

BTW, ONE (1) day late IS late. But, then I'd bet you've been doing this for years....right?
