i rented a computer from this store,one week after igot it i lost my job.i called rentway and told them to pick up my stuff could not pay.Well weeks went by still had computer,they kept sending me cards and letters saying how much they wanted my business.Well when it got time two move almost 2 months later they still had not picked up computer.well while i was moving the computer was stoling.now they are taking me to court saying i fraudintly withheld the computer when in fact i called them more than once so they could pick up there stuff,now what?

Danny don't worry about court if Rent way try to lie tell the Judge that you want them to take a lie dectator test that will prove them wrong and i tell you they couldn't sue my brother in law or have him artrested cuz the computer was a differwnt color and smashed so they couldn't have him aressted so just exmple.


now for me 120 days same as casdh wut the fuck happen to it i rented a computer gateway and no 120 day same as cash but but there add says it

I have a friend that wanted to go to Rentway. I came on this site to look it up and make sure first. I am shocked and not so much by the complaint but by the way this Steve is talking to customers!! I have seen him on other reports talking down to customers and it shows me and others just how RentWay is. And to Scott do you work in Customer Service for RentWay? If so how do you feel about someone like Steve on a website alot of people read representing your CO. this way? I know now I will give her the money to just buy stuff out right and not go to RentWay thank you Steve for saving her from RentWay!!!!

i have rented from rentway/home choice for about 4 years, i double up on my payment every 2 weeks for the whole 4 years, damn if they dont call me every day of the week reminding me when i am sopposed to come in....i know....i come in every other saturday loyally for 4 years! i understand they are just doing their job, but i feel i am an established customer and shouldn't have ugly messages left on my phone "tell us a time we can come and pick up our merchandise" every week i go through this, but god forbid something breaks down, they WILL NOT CALL then, well thanks for letting me vent, one day i will have good credit and wont have to deal with the sob's at rental places

It's not your fault! If they could deliver it they can pick it up. Besides they have the same contracts as other rental companies such as(rac). It states that no other person that is not a employee may deliver or pick up the merchandise.

It is not your fault the account managers and credit manager were too lazy to schedule a pick up, that you had requested. If the law applies the same in Kentucky as they do in California for rental merchandise. You in luck!

If you can show that could not have afforded the merchanised with the amount of income you were recieving. They are considered at fault due to the fact that some people with a certain income level DO NOT QUALIFY for luxury items such as big screens, computers,etc.

There is so much more I can tell you, about how to make them kiss your ass! If you are wondering how I know? I worked at one of these kind of places for 4yrs. Worked my way up from an account manager to credit manager then store manager. I know all the in and outs of the over priced rental bussiness.

I can and do belive that this could happen but, Rentways account managers and delivery personell are on the road every day of the week except Sunday. Now you must understand that by that account manager not picking up the computer he/she has possably lost his/her bounus for the time you were late, but he/she also had to listen to his/her boss harp on him/her about the past due account. So like i said, it is possable that it did hapen as reported, but unlikly. But i can give you the customer service number: 1-800-rentway. They will be glade to help and answer any questions you may still have. Remember, RentWays modow is: Welcome, Wanted, and Important. This is how we treat or clients and friends.

C'mon now, are you telling me that you couldn't just put the computer in your car and take it over to the store? This store here has over 150 computers on rent and rarely do we deliver or pick up our computers.

For the love of God, they'll fit on your front seat! And to top it off, if you neglected to pay for the insurance coverage on the computer, then it's your own fault. It wasn't your computer - you were only renting it, and we trust you to take care of our merchandise. Up here, you can't rent a computer from me without having the insurance coverage...it's there to protect you in cases such as this. I say bite the bullet... continue to make your payments on the system or face the consequences and have the debt attached to your wages. It was your own carelessness that led to the loss, why should Rentway have to eat the value of their computer?
