My vehicle was hit by a UHaul driver and I was instructed to file a claim with Republic Western, Uhaul's insurance company. I submitted a complete accident report, and claim to Republic Western on June 18, 2009. I had not received any correspondence from the company, and called to follow-up on July 8, 2009. I was told that my claim was received and was in processing. Two weeks later I made two phone calls to the rep handling my case. I did not receive a return phone call, so I contacted the reps supervisor on July 27th. I left two message during that week with no return phone call from the supervisor.

I called again in the first week of August and spoke to a receptionist who aid that she found my claim, but did not know why it had not been processed seven weeks after it was received. I made a follow-up call on August 17th, and my rep said she did not receive my claim. I told her someone in her office had located it and she shuffled some papers around and found it. At this point I have made a minimum of 9 calls to find out the status on my claim, requesting a return call. When I called again on August 21st, I was told a check was sent on July 28th. I have verified my address with them three times since the mysterious check was sent out. I called again today, after repeated requests for a return call on the status of the check and was told for the second time that the check would have to be voided and a second check sent out.

It has been 10 weeks since I submitted my claim, with no correspondence other than my incessant follow-up and I am no where closer to getting my car repaired. There is no one else I am allowed to speak to other than the "Office Manager" and was told that this person can do nothing else for me. This company's operations are egregious, and I will never rent from UHaul again because of this experience.
