I checked my bank statement today and have a charge from GalleriaUSA for $11.95. I have no idea what this is, so I did some research and realize that GalleriaUSA is mentioned in some reports that Reservation Rewards is mentioned in.
So now I start to remember- I signed up for Reservations Rewards through Restaurants.com... there was a click-through to get a $10 reward for signing up- so I thought I'd try it. Well, come August, i still haven't used it, so I cancel it through the Reservation Rewards website.
I have my cancellation confirmation email from Reservation Rewards. I'm still being charged by GalleriaUSA. I call the number on the Reservation Rewards website (800) 411-8021 and I spoke to Holly (id #25302.
She can't find anything related to me so she asked me to look at my bank statement and read the charge. She then says, " Oh! Galleria! Thank you. I may not be able to reverse the charges, but I will connect you to my supervisor."
Then I speak with Charles (id # 14934). Apparently he has no idea who Reservation Rewards is. He says "I am not familiar with this website." He also says, "We are not affiliated with this comany in any way." Well, Charles, if that is so, then how did I get to speak to you when I called the number on the Reservation Rewards Customer Service number? Hmm?
He said they do not offer refunds (even though i have proof of the cancellation back in August of 2004), but will refund me the $11.95 for this month. (Which, by the way, is a violation of the member agreement, because the member agreement stated that they would notify me of any upgrades in charges.)
I am going to try and call my bank and see if they will refund the other $9.95 charges from the previous months.
