The presentation was on a Wednesday. After thinking it over more, we decided to cancel. We filed with PROFECO on the following Friday, after consulting with a notary. We sent the information as required, on time and registered, to the Mexican address of PROFECO.
Now, over a year later, we have received $1871.20 of our $11,500 "investment." We are in the process of contacting an attorney to force this "company" to refund our money as required by Mexican law.
Do not buy a timeshare from these people---in fact, you may want to rethink any purchases of a timeshare... This experience has soured our desire to revisit Mexico anytime soon!
