I checked into this hotel on 5/1/14 and when I went to my room it looked tired and worn. There was obvious damage to a lampshade. We had business so we left immediately and did not return till after 11:00PM. At that time we discovered the television in the front bedroom was not working. I telephoned and reported same to the desk. Instead of offering to bring a new tv or move us the clerk replied she would tell them in the morning. I asked for a manager, none on site. The next morning I did not receive a call from management so I called again. No management available. When I checked out I again reported the issue and asked for a manager. No management on site. The clerk said she had talked to management about additional rewards points. I left situation not resolved. When I returned home I made a complaint to customer service. The result was an email telling me they were giving me extra rewards points. Not even the courtesy of a phone call. What I wanted was the upscale experience I paid for and I don't believe I got it here. Management was substandard compared with other Residence Inns I have stayed at. I did not want money or points but a comp room of the quality I paid for would have been nice I travel a lot and have not experienced this at other Residence Inns
