Resurgent Capital Services, Capital Service Management Resurgent Capital Services TRIED to scam my grandmother! Buffalo, New York

My grandmother received a letter from Resurgent Capital Management stating that she owed them $1147 and change. I called to verify the debt because we had never heard of this company. The woman said she neededy grandmothers. permission to speak to me so she gave permission. The csr was very vague about the debt. She infact said my grandmother owed THEM. She didnt say that they were a third party debt collector as they told others who have filed reports here. They also could not tell me when the debt occurred nor what service they provided that she supposedly owed for. This is why I looked it up on line and is also why I am thankful for sites such as this one. This company does appear to be running a scam, and not a very good one at that.
