I have read some of the reports on this site and they are all true! In 30 years of working I' ve never experienced the level of deceipt practiced by this Compny. It is an endless pyramid of bullying harassment from management creating a "Hostile Work" environment, along with blatent disregard for wage and labor laws, meal and rest periods, various types of descrimination (age, gender, and national origin), payroll violations, and serious retaliation against "Whistle Blowers" who report the wrong doings in an effort to improve working conditions. When did it become okay to call yourself a "Company who operates with a Employee Handbook which looks good and as if they paid some money for it claiming to operate with a policy of Do the right thing even when no one is watching". RBD does not even follow their own policies, procedures and guidelines so why do they even bother. Their "Honesty agreements" that employees are required to sign in the "New hire packets" are a complete joke. So far I was lucky to have had a good manager experience but it did not last very long which is why I will leave that manager out so the "Company" won't get rid of that manager. Training in the beginning is barely enough for you to make some money but once you start knowing what is going on your days will be numbered and you will know it because all of a sudden you have a new manager who will test you and push you to the point of decreasing sales with varying tactics just so you can be eliminated quietly and quickly. The person is hand selected by the "Regional Manager" and was probably a top producer with no experience or respect for anyone or anything and are brutally dumb resorting to bullying and stalking. Their idea of how to motivate a team member is intimidation, threats, terror texting, story changing to try and confuse you, constant contradictions, ridiculous badgering with no intellectual reasoning from. My manager came in and from the moment of introduction she showed me intimidation with no abilities. I worked for her 3 weeks and saved threatening texts which came out to 7 pages on Excel documented by me in order to submit a formal complaint to the company according to their procedures. My manager neglected me at every help request I had to assure my failing and verbally descriminated my gender and age, violated my meals/rest periods, stalked me to the point of coming to my home and blowing up my personal cell phone anytime she wanted, constantly talking down to me and actually sent me back to training but before Training day still sent me all her new hires to train while I am struggling and asking for her help. Hello. . Why if I needed training would anyone ask send new hires for me to train? I had to deal with constant threats and lies and felt as if the only way for me to stay was to join them in their deceiptful ways or maybe this would not be the job for me. I had a weekend of no sales and the following day and without warning received a voicemail where she decided to suspend me for a week without giving a reason and on my day off. I utilized the suspension to review my new hire packet and all agreements signed and submitted a formal complaint. My mistake to expect that they follow their own policies. I was supposed to be notified of an investigation and whatever resulted from the investigation. The weekend prior to my suspension ending they sent me a demand to return tablet or they will persue legal action with no reply to my formal complaint or any further details as to why I was terminated after filing complaint. Then more than a week after they cut my supposed "final check" my stalking manager came to my home tried to interrogate my husband as to my whereabouts and was very rude to him. She made a phone call came back and asked if he was my husband and without consent from me handed him my paycheck and didn't even verify who he was. I came home and was shocked and outraged for several reasons. When did California make it legal to hand paychecks out to family members and spouses? Isn't a final paycheck supposed to have all remaining unpaid hours worked and whatever commissions due on it and within a specific timeline? Well three weeks have passed and I have not been told by management why I was suspended and that my employment was terminated and no reason or warnings. I have received no notifications of complaint investigation or any reply or acknowledgements regarding my missing 32 hours wages and $50 referral bonus requested by me on at least 3 seperate emails to human resources. They haven't returned any of my calls and don't even take my calls. I have not returned the tablet yet but there is another $200 deposit they have deducted from my pay until tablet is returned and verified working good by I.T. With the Company's track record so far I'm concerned I will not get paid any monies owed to me. As a result from all of this I have just been evicted from my home of 8 years along with most of my utilities in disconnect status and my car is in repossesion. Thank you RBD for hiring me and giving me this great work experience, sending me into financial hardship and on my way to bein homeless. If this is a new trend of employment future we have to look forward to we should just bring back slavery. I hope that this will save some of you jobseekers out there who are smart enough to review before accepting employment at RBD. Inc. Sincerely suffering!!!
