How can a business that knows your car was stolen, then steal $300 from you? Soulless, that's how. I understand a fee, but $300? This is outrageous!

Reported stolen

AUTHOR: Starr - ()

Yes, I reported it stolen. After I couldn't find my car in the parking lot at my work I called the police. Don't assume you know what you're talking about. Washington and Oregon police were called. They were the ones that called me and told me where my d**n car was.

Short and Sweet.

Did you report your vehicle stolen to the local PD? Impounds in majority of areas are regulated by the local government and if reported stolen CORRECTLY, there should have been no fee.  Considering this was impounded per your report and you were still billed and the local PD were contacted, you had not reported it stolen.  Next time, your best solution would to A) lock your car to prevent theft B) Contact your insurance, I am sure they would be much abliged to help you or C) pay up because you made a silly mistake. Thanks ;)
