In January I began another round of emails and calls, most of which were not returned. In early February he finally said he was ready to upload the mall. The result had many features we had not asked for, some of which didn't actually work. The one feature we had asked for (billing by percentage of sales) was not there. He promised more "goodies" in a few days, and that the requested feature would be fixed, then vanished. No more communication. Repeated emails to his phpmymall adress finally produced a bogus claim that he had sold the domain to someone else -- even though detailed Whois report says otherwise --
This man is a scammer who does not draw the line at ripping off a church. He'll do the same to you. He has identified a specific market (Paypal multivendor mall that pays the vendor directly) that is not met by most other software, and many craft, etc folks out there are looking for this approach. Instead of making an honest profit by providing the service described (which I think he could do) he prefers to just mess about with the software and steal people's money.

On 5/28 Mr Irving emailed:
"Check was generated by bill pay and should arrive by beginning of week ... check 5001 amount: $100"
Needless to say, that check never arrived.
The demo which was available online was only partially functional, Mr. Irving claimed each site was "custom developed" and the requested features added for each customer.
The fact that there are numerous virtually identical complaints on various sites online is revealing. Bluster and denial will not make these go away.
I am more concerned now with preventing other people from being ripped off than with my vaporware refund.

We both know that your phone number has changed numerous times evading people that you have done bad business with or having your daughter answering your home phone for you telling people you are aren't there.
Also if people can't get their money back did you know that all it takes is entering someone names into a State Employment Benefits system to see if that person is receiving benefits while working? And for every week worked while receiving benefits is illegal along with a charge of perjury.
Luckily all of these people are liars and you aren't afraid of anyone because I would hate to be caught doing any of the above especially over any extended amount of time.
By the way, I have done very well tracking down people and to be honest some of the time people don't get their money back but the person normally has other skeletons in the closet that catch up to them besides me. I just help out those other agencies looking for someone or not aware of the situation.
Good Luck on your future Endeavors but we both know what is coming next.

(((Redacted))) is my address that you can get ahold of me with. I have actually stayed very busy doing this type of work and was amazing when I went back year to find similiar stories such as yours. Even more suprising is that the person named has done this for years. It takes time putting together the files on all of these going back 3-5 years and also finding similiar illegal activites on Ebay.

As far as the "cashiers check" that was a lie too, for it never arrived. Not that I was holding my breath. You still owe us the money.
NETINVESTIGATOR, I would love to be in touch with you but am not sure how to do that through RipOff Report. We have also filed complaints with the Attorney General's office and with IC3.

For anyone interested there has been a file started In Washington State with the Attorney General regarding RIchard Erving,Charles E. Erving, Erving Richard or any of the 12 aliases we found while tracking him through Arizona,Florida and California.
There also has been Other findings that have him linked to benefits from Washington State that cannot be devulged as of yet. You can email me with the Attn:Steve Long regarding Richard Erving and I will send you the information I have free of charge.
I have all of his current information including a new # and address.
I have been hired on the behalf of three people who invested a large amount of money and were not given the product they were promised.

Again I offered you a refund and you refused. We then sent you a cashiers check John to the address on your paypal and still it is pending.Dont site there and say that this is a scam and a ripoff when I told you refund was already started and once again you refused it.
Anyways I will post this proof as soon as it clears paypal so that this lie cant stop. It is funny that these posts on all types of subjects wont be removed. There is not much credit to this site and others like it. And john you say I am stealing your money?? why dont you post the emails so everyone can see them. You denied the refund and we will see what you do with the cashiers check at this point. And your from a church??? why not tell the whole conversation instead of part.
