This report is related to two associated individuals, those being Rick Stitt/Stitt industries and John Wincewicz. These two persons are friends who work together to defraud innocent people for their own benifit.
This report is filed as two separate rip off reports however the circumstances for each of these individuals are identical.
I responded to a classified advertisment listed by "Barnstormers" an aviaton classifieds web-site.
The advertisment was listed by JOHN WINCEWICZ who claimed to own five Mini 500 Helicopters and was prepared to part out one of his brand new machines to finance a turbine conversion compliments from Mr. RICK STITT.
After several e-mails between WINCEWICZ & myself we agreed on a price of $3,500.00 USfor a complete tail-rotor/hub assembly.
The funds were sent to WINCEWICZ via Western Union on 03/04/04 with an understanding the parts would be dispatched on receipt if the funds.
After a few weeks and no parts I phoned WINCEWICZ to check the status of the shipment and was advised the helicopters were located at a friends facility in Missouri.
This friend was Mr. Rick Stitt.
Wincewicz said he was to travel to Missouri the following week and would personally forward the parts from there.
After a further three weeks I phoned Wincewicz to ask if the parts had been sent.
He told me he did not have the time to call into STITT INDUSTRIES whilst he was travelling and to contact Stitt personally as the parts were packaged and ready for dispatch.
A quick phone call to Stitt and I was told he had been waiting on me to supply my telephone number. No one had advised me of this and in any case WINCEWICZ had all my contact details.
A few more weeks went by and STILL no parts.
I phoned Stitt to ask what was going on only to receive a recorded message that STITT INDUSTRIES were no longer accepting incoming calls.
I have contacted WINCEWICZ by phone and e-mail numberous times only to be told month after month that he shall go to Missouri and send the parts himself or refund my money in full plus interest.
This is his last contact with me:

This rot has continued for almost twelve months and after countless checks I am of the firm belief that neither STITT nor WINCEWICZ posessed any of the parts offered for sale.
STITT has a court judgment against him from Rinke Aerospace (a prior employer of STITT)
to the value of $300,000-00.

Wincewicz admitted to me he had forwarded money to STITT to help him out of this now pathetic financial position.
I could write a novel about these poor excuses for humans however there is no point
for me to waste your time or mine.

Colin tried and tried to get Rick to send parts to him labled "Remote Control Helicopter Parts" so he could avoid the Taxes that would be due on actual helicopter parts? He wanted us to lie about the parts. we refused. sent his money back, end of story!

John, if you would had been in Ricks shop you would know how Rick is organized!
I was forced to search for anything you can think of because Rick is so disorganized. As soon as a new Customer brings the Aircraft, parts taken away from him to sell it to other Customer! I found my Main Rotor Transmission missing after I put it together and mounted it on the Aircraft! Rick needed it for another Customer!
John, how would you know what I "stole"? I delivered a 100% fully complete Aircraft and I received an nearly 100% Aircraft.
Rick packed it up with me and as you know it was already nearly completed at Sun'n Fun. So please tell me what did I steal? Screws and Bolts an Hardware I used? Rick had seen what I had in my Crates and I even asked him for some misc. Parts to take. He had seen everything I shipped and he did not mention anything what would not belong to me! And please be advised that Dennis left 18 months before I took anything out of Ricks Shop! So how can I steal something from him?
And one more thing John: Rick drove my Camper and Trailer 30.000 miles around the Country without paying the Duties! Just look at the Photo submitted from Rob, there you see my Camper and Trailer. Also he damaged the Camper an many spots so it was worth 10.000 Dollar less then without these Damages! The Bank finally collected the RV because he did not pay for it as he agreed in October 2003!
As of lying you mentioned: Did Rick ever tell you the Tail Rotor Gearbox he took out of your Boxes to sell to Jack Campell on April 2004 for 800$ just because he needed Money?
So, if you accuse other to do wrong please ask for the full Story first, so you don't look so....

COLIN HOPKINS RESPONDED TO AN ADD FOR MINI 500 PARTS I HAD FOR SALE.
I DO IN "FACT" OWN 5 MINIS, AND I HAD THE PARTS HE WANTED! THE ONLY "CATCH" WAS THAT COLIN WANTED ME TO SHIP HIM THE PARTS UNDER A "FALSE" DESCRIPTION!
HE WANTED ME TO "LABEL" THE PARTS " MODEL HELICOPTER PARTS" SO HE WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY THE "DUTY TAX" FOR AUSTRALIA!
EVIDENTLY JOE RINKE HAD NO PROBLEM SHIPPING HIM PARTS FRADULENTLY, AND ILLEGALLY RIPPING OFF THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT!
RICK STITT TOLD ME HE "WOULD NOT" SHIP PARTS FRADULENTLY TO COLIN HOPKINS! IT TOOK ME SEVERAL CALLS, AT MY EXPENSE I MIGHT ADD, AS COLIN WOULD CALL ME AT WORK, TO EXPLAIN THAT "I WOULD NOT "LIE" FOR HIM! SO HE AND JOE RINKE ARE BOTH GUILTY OF DEFRAUDING THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT OF TAXES DUE!
I WOULD AVOID DEALING WITH EITHER OF THESE IDIOTS, AS THEY ARE BOTH MENTALLY UNSTABLE! PS: ASK RINKE WHY HE IS "BANNED" FROM ATTENDING BOTH SUN-N FUN, AND OSHKOSH? BECAUSE HE IS "UNSTABLE" AND HAS AN ARREST RECORD TO SUPPORT THIS STATEMENT!

John Wincewicz who is part of this Rip-Off report refunded the money to me today (2/23/2005). No further action is contemplated by myself as this matter is now finalised.
