Triad Financial Corporation used some very questionable collection practices on us after we got behind on our car payments. They called us after 10pm and before 8pm, even on Sundays. They would swear, shout, and tell me what a lousy person I was for getting behind on our payments. I explained to them how I had gotten hurt at work and was on Worker's Comp, so my salary had been cut by 1/3. They called me a liar and told me to get a payday loan.

We tried to make a payment over the phone and we thought we had just enough money to do so. After my wife lost her job in December, we were really hurting so we ran our checking account down to under a couple bucks. What we didn't know was that not only does Triad debit your account, so does a secondary processing company for five bucks.

Shortly after making a payment over the phone, we discovered that someone had given us a bad check. We called Triad to try and stop the debit. They would not do it and debited our account twice along with the other company. So we had four bounced checks instead of two.

No where in the contract or on the bills does it mention this other company that charges five dollars to make a payment over the phone, nor was I told about it when I called them. they told me it was five dollars more to make a payment, but didn't tell me aout it going to a separate company.

I understand that there is a class-action suit against Triad, so please count me in. Someone contact me if it isn't too late to get in on it. You can use my regular email address or call me.
