Robert, aka as Bobby, Leitgeb, presented himself to be a reputable moving company, (Move Less Express).  Robert, Bobby, called me because he said a larger moving company referred us to him because they were not interested in moving my "small" load of furniture to California, Robert proceeded to tell me just how they were going to shrink pack the furniture, transport it to Hermosa Beach, CA and deliver the furniture to selected address. He also told me that it wasn't necessary to pay sales tax. When I questioned this, he said that the larger moving companies where only ripping me off. (THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY WARNING SIGN!!!) On the scheduled night of packing, he called frantically to say he was running late, but would I please wait for him.  After loading the truck, he requested more money becuase we added a mattress and box spring which we obligingly did.  I tried to call him 10 days later to check on the delivery of the furniture, and the phone number was already disconnected. When I checked out his company, which was too late, I realized he had a bogus moving company.  He has my $900 and approximately $10,000 of my furniture.  After much research, I'm finding that he has scammed numerous customers and employess repeatedly for thousands of dollars, and has had as many as eleven bogus moving companies.  I would like him stopped.  It's frustrating to me that a criminal like him can get away with this for so many years. Why is this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
