Rockford Tow Company Smittys Tow Company Not posted correctly tow away zone next to Bar 3 vehicle towed in minutes signs not visable Rockford, Illinois

Saturday night my friend and I for halloween went out to Rockford to Bar3 we pulled in the first ally next to the bar and parked.  Went to the bar the entrance had people there and they told us to go on in rushed us in.  Minutes later they announced if you have a jeep wrangler you are going to get towed.  So my friend and I ran out and the jeep was gone.  We looked around for no parking signs and found one facing the street when you are pulling into an ally off of a busy street you do not see these signs.  In this area was other vehicles that were there longer than ours was so we thought we could park there we never saw the sign on the street then we went back to the bar and they said well theres a sign we have posted but they rush you in the bar we had no chance on seeing this sign.  It was $170 to get the jeep back and they tow it so far away and want cash, visa, or mastercard only well we didnt have any of those methods of payment then they want $40 for storage.  The tow company and the business around really have on heck of a racket going on.  We spoke to an officer and he said this company is so cricket and has been shut down before for these kind of practices.  We are two single woman how dangerous is that we were left strandid like that not to mention we and all our friends will never frequent Rockford area bars or business again these are horrible practices and if you want to have tow away zones you need to post them better this was rediculous.  Thank God my son came and picked us up and paid for the jeep to get out.  Otherwise we had noone and would of never found that location and could of never paid the cab fee to get there or anywhere.  Something needs to be done about this situation.  Please contact me if there is anything we can do to get something done about this.  Thanks Jackie (((REDACTED))) is my cell
