Rodney L Gilcreast is the man behind a tour scam called A&R Talent Inc. The scam is begins on twitter, where under the username @anrtalentagent, Gilcreast sends out bait tweets to catch his victims. He typically sends out tweets about popular music artists, such as TI and Wix Kalifa, touring at the time or in the near future. He then asks you to follow him for more information and contacts the victim through direct/private message.
This is where he reels you in. He starts offering to cover flight, hotel, transportation, and food expenses on the tour for $1000.00 or more depending on the tour. He also states that during the tour the victim will make hundreds of dollars per show per performance. He even sends out a legitimate looking contract that persuades the victims that this is a real deal. Once the contract is sent, Gilcreast asks for the money to be sent via western union to him or deposited into a bank account in his name. [continued below]....
He has several aliases; One of which, Matt Smith, calls from a google voice number saying he's only the booking agent for the company when it's really Rodney Gilcreast on the other end. Once the money is collected, he then emails his victims that the tour has been overbooked and that the company will send a refund in full in 7 to 30 days. I ask to meet with him in person and he replies saying that everything is done over the phone.
It's clear after several days that this was a scam so I decided to hire a PI to look into who Rodney Gilcreast is. My legal have tried to contact him. No response. Here is the information my PI found so far during her investigation. She pointed out that the Wilshire address was a complete fake due to the fact it is a medical build. After a full investigation on who Rodney Gilcreast is she found out that his real name Rodney Lacey Gilcreast, born May 11, 1986 a Virginia Beach native, went to Salem High School and Landstown High School. She also discovered that he is a high school drop out.
She found his previous residence in Virginia at 3816 Cranberry Court, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. She also found that K-R.O.K is his stage name and claims to be a signed artist to a major record label. She also found that A&R Talent Inc is not the only company Gilcreast claims to run. He also claims a record label, The Movement Music Group, where he can scammed and/or defrauded other music artists and busines individuals. She is currently in touch with people in VA and CA searching for more information about this fraudulent individual
Please to not fail for any of this person's scams. Do not trust this man or his companies or affiliates. If you are in touch or get in touch with him or have knowledge of his location, please contact the authorities.
