In December of 2011. I noticed Rogers Communications overcharges for data usage on internet service. I could not log in into Rogers MyRogers portal for the whole month of December to check how much they claim I used up to that date. Finally, I called Rogers service on 20th of December 2011. to let them know I am cancelling internet service with them.

They told me I have to wait 30 days i.e. 20th of January 2012. would be the date internet service would be cancelled.

Then I told their agent I could not login into MyRogers portal and about the same time (November and December 2011.) I noticed ballooning of data usage charges on monthly bill. Agent would not acknowledge what I am saying and was very rude and she hung up in the middle of conversation.

I waited 20th of January 2012. to finally get rid of this company internet service, but to my surprise they continued to charge me for the service. They refused to acknowledge that I cancelled the service on 20th of January 2012! When I refused to pay for ballooning extra charges portion they - disconnected my other service, wireless service which was under 3yr agreement at that time?!

Then they tried to charge me with $25 fee for re-connecting my wireless service for which I previously never complained about!? I refused to pay as this was single-side break of contractual agreement between me and Rogers.

They continued to overcharge for everything, ballooning the bills with penalties and who knows what.

As the result of these malpractices of Rogers I suffered damages and send 6 letters to them in the last 9 months requesting to be compensated for these damages. They never responded to these requests to pay their overdue balances.

So I had to continue to be their customer for almost a full additional year, until 7th of November 2012. when they finally acknowledged the service (I struggled to cancel other service as well, e.g. 3yr wireless agreement expired on 25th of July 2012. and they continued to charge me to this day i.e. more than four months after expiration date!) have been disconnected (even now I am receiving the bills in excess of $1000 dollar for non-existing services?!

I finally decided to cancel my HD cable service with them as well. When I came to the store - they refused to identify me?! I showed my passport and original 3yr wireless contract signed by me on 25th of July 2009. with my signature for the account number under which they refuse to identify me. After spending two hours in the store I got no resolution. I offered to return their equipment which is on rent with me but they said nothing, they were completely mute, like always when I decided to cancel service by service with them. I realized they are planning to overcharge as much as they possibly can and at the same time, even if I do not pay, they will show this in their revenues as Accounts Receivable in their books, i.e. artificially ballooning their income side of their balance sheet (on many forums I have read about same types of complaints against this repetitive offender, Rogers Communications Inc.), to "boost" earnings and double-cross their shareholders.
