Ron's Home and Hardware Spanish Bay Ventures, LLC Sent the wrong wood stove thimble in the right labeled box. It was also dented and the paint was partly scratched off. I tried to resolve this issue several times to no avail. Presently being disputed Internet

I ordered a 6" Selkirk wood stove thimble from this company and although it says 6" Selkirk on the box it was an 8" thimble on the inside. It was also dented and the black paint was rubbed off somewhat. I tried to resolve the issue with this company several times to no avail. Do not buy from Ron's Home and Hardware. They send junk and even the wrong sized junk. And even though it says Ron's Home and Hardware with a cute little guy on the website, when you buy something suddenly the name of the company is "Spanish Bay Ventures LLC." Not American. Not honest.

This is probably one of the .1% of the customers out there.  This is the part that they don't tell you...Customer bought and had the item delivered 90 days ago.  Then they wanted to return the item because they purchased the wrong size.  According to the manufacturer, 9 times out of 10, that is the issue.  Anyway, we have a very clear 30 day return policy.  The customer agrees to it at the time of purchase.  Same policy as Amazon.com.  Pretty straight forward.  We have gone as much as 60 days after delivery to be fair with people.  This one was 90 days with an attitude to go with it.  Not real likely to help when they were making everything including the cloudy day outside our fault.

The customer was told it was too late to return the item.  They told us they got the item right down the street at their local store...then why did you order online and pay shipping...?

We believe in personal responsibility...if you have some, you will love doing business with us...if you always want to make it someone elses fault, you won't like it much.

By the way, we are a completely American company, based in Indianapolis.  Spanish Bay is a golf course in California.  LOL
