First I'd just like to say that I am so overwhelmingly disgusted with Rooms To Go; I went in to Rooms2Go in April 2012 to look at purchasing two rooms of furniture, as a birthday gift to myself(Bedroom & Living Room). I dealt with salesperson Charles Robinson. After spending several hours walking around the store looking at pieces of furniture that appealed to me I selected the Beckford Ash King Bedroom Collection (King Bed (Headboard, Footboard, post caps and rails), 2 nightstands, dresser/mirror & Chest & the Simmons Beautyrest Classic Cold Spring King mattress set). All of which were not on display therefore I had to order.... Charles got the order wrong, he added extra stuff to my order that I did not order and left off an important piece to my bedroom collection; after calling the store several times and dealing with rude and unsympatheitic manager I was out of getting what I ordered...because Charles never keyed it into the order form and his excuse was ohhh my bad - the acting manager never offered any type of restitution or alternatives other than you can come into the store and order the piece at full price; I declined to order the piece but did return to the store to return the queen mattress protector and to try and talk to the manager who refused to speak with me... Went home got ready for bed and walked up to the dresser/mirror to brush my hair and WHAM a stabbing pain came across my left foot looked down and the bottom of the dresser is shattered with shards of splintery woods hanging down all of which had sliced into the top of my left foot.... at this point I deceided to call R2G's corporate office in Florida spoke with several different associates (too many to list her but I have a detailed record of whom and what dates I spoke to each) needless to say my bedroom furniture had been exchanged several times through out the course of four months and each time pieces were broken and even one time a drill set was left in the dresser as they were still working on the dresser from a pervious exchange and was piece milling it together only minutes before my delivery; and as the movers were moving it about you could hear the broken pieces moving about as well as the drill set. The headbord post and post caps were not even the same color matter of fact it was unfinished and very spintery...the mattress had started to collaspe on one side and I had the mattress only 2 weeks after going around and around with a few of the customer services reps who I might add are flagrant LIARS and inconsistent on which story to tell. I finally got one to exchange the mattress out and he said well you have not had the mattress very long therefore it is a store issue and we will exchange it out...they exchanged it out alright...to an even smaller mattress fit for a queen size bed!!! Finally, after so much trouble I was issued a $250.00 credit that I asked if I could just get it applied to the bill and I was told yes we will apply it to your bill...well that never happened.... Wilson who works at the R2G Corporate office decided to have my bedroom furniture picked up without ever consulting with me and he canceled the $250.00 credit (I found this out yesterday when I called to find out the status of my livingroom furniture repairs...oh yeah, it is falling apart as well and the tech came out on Saturday December 1, 2012 and spent several hours in my home replacing the cover because it is dry rot and is literally unraveling. His replacement piece does not match the overall sofa color. And, while working on the sofa he flipped it over and dropped it and now the bottom is all twisted and the repaired pieces are botched uneven, the middle cushion he could not sew because he said it is tearing too badly; that I needed to call the 1-800 number and tell them I can't repair it. This sleeper sofa set certainly does not look like a sofa set that is only 6 months old let alone special ordered) I have taken pictures and I have a video of what the tech did and as well as him dropping the sofa and how it is ruined from poor handling.) I told Wilson, what is going to happen and he said nothing until we get the report from the tech and I am getting the feeling R2G is waiting past the warranty to take care of their seriously flawed merchandise. I asked Wilson for the number to their legal department he refused and said if your attorney wants it she can google it... I have worked in customer service for many years and I have never seen or heard of this type of service - until I hit this website and read the numerous accounts of poor customer service and shoddy merchandise.
