Royal Camera And Video Ripoff an investigation is needed into their unscrupulous business practices Brooklyn New York

On August 31, 2004, I called Royal Camera to order 3 of their advertised Nikon D-100, for $619.00 each. I spoke to a salesperson, whose first question was, What lens do you want? I said, no lens just the body that you advertised. His next question, What memory card do you want? I said again, only the advertised body. He hung up on me. No name given.

I called back and got someone called Jason, I asked for the manager, he says, why? I told him what happened with the rude hang-up. Again asked to speak to the manager, he says, I am the manager. (at this point should I believe that?) So he says I can sell you the camera body, but it will take 21 days before I can ship it to you. OK, I said, What is the WARRANTY? He says, There is NO WARRANTY. I said, NO WARRANTY why? He says, GREY MARKET. I said, Doesn't a grey MARKET CAMERA have a Nikon International Warranty. He says, NO, NO WARRANTY.

OK, I said, If I order 3 D-100 bodies what will the shipping cost be. He says, $59.99 each. Each, I said, would you ship it UPS Ground. He says, it would still be $59.99 each. That's $179.97 for 3 camera bodies from New York to Miami, Fl.

I said, You are ripping people off here; I am going to report your company to The State Attorneys Office. He says, go right ahead we don't care. So the next thing I did was to write a letter to the NEW YORK State Attorneys Office, with Royal Cameras quote Go right ahead we don't care

If everyone did this I am sure they would be an investigation into their unscrupulous business practices. "DO IT"
