Royal Oaks Apartments Jinco Properties Slumlords Lufkin, Texas

On November 26, 2012, we moved into Jinco Property's apartments in Lufkin, TX. The apartments, Royal Oaks Apartments, is nothing more than a lower-class ghetto. The chief complaint we have had about it is that there is no hot water in our apartment. None. There have been several complaints filed with the management concerning the water issue. We have a recording of the owner, Robert Green, blowing off the complaint and saving he would have it resolved. Almost two months later, there is still no hot water. 

The hot water issue is most likely related to the gaping holes of sewage that the maintenance (we'll call him Dimwoody) dug up next to each apartment. In January, we made the decision to not pay them one more cent until the hot water was fixed. On January 11, 2013, Robert Green had an hour long conversation (that was recorded) in which he said that he would have the water fixed and that he had not filed a notice to vacate the apartment because he wanted to resolve the issue. On January 19th, with still no hot water, Green filed for eviction. On the document, he states that the notice to vacate was given on 1/4/2013. This is a lie and our recording proves it. He is a dishonorable person who is taking advantage of a veteran and young child.
