Royal Prestige / Hy Cite Corporation bridal showcase rip-off Madison Wisconsin
I was called and informed that I had won 1000 free rolls of film, a 35mm camera, and a free trip to Orlando. All I had to do was attend at short bridal showcase. Since I was about to be married, I thought this would be wonderful! I knew that I would be pressured to purchase something, but I would at least receive my free gifts just for attending.
I was WRONG! After having the wits scared out of me about the health dangers of my current cookware and the future implications of continued use of teflon coated pans, cast iron skillets, and several other types of cookware. If things were so dangerous, why is this the first I had heard of it?
Anyway, after the presentation my fiance' and I sat down with the consultant and viewed the packages. The prices were outrageous, but it was for our own health! The consultant said that if we purchased at least $500 worth of products we would also receive a free trip to the Bahamas. We were only months away from our wedding and needed a honeymoon-this was perfect!
After we purchased our skillet, we waited to receive our film, camera, trip to Orlando, and trip to the Bahamas. What we got were vouchers--outdated vouchers that had expired. THe consultant initialed the vouchures and said they would still be good, but they were not. To receive the 1000 free rolls of film, you had to send in a roll of film and pay for its processing, then they would send you a free roll. The camera came after you had sent in 1000 rolls of film and had them processed. The trip to Orlando was not free and had to be taken within the next six months. The trip to the Bahamas had to be paid for as well-$3000, not to mention the passport fees.
Please, DO NOT be scammed by this company. Nothing is free except the headaches. It took two years to pay for this stupid skillet that we rarely use because of its difficulty. SUre, we have a cookbook, but even it doesn't work correctly.
