Rudd HVAC Plumbing Design Geothermal Installation Broken A/C Installation & Will Not Repair Aurora, Colorado

This man works by referral only from Realty companies. However, we had our A/C installed in 2011 and at first seemed to go ok. It worked. He quoted as a 1 day job, it took 2 and he charged to go get more electrical supplies as he did not have enough. 

After he and his helper left the 2nd day, I found my recycle can outside filled with beer cans. We do not drink, and his 3 hour lunches were now explained.

Then the unit stopped working. It appeared just frozen up, pretty common around here, so we thawed it and kept going. It froze up immediately. After having a couple of repair techs come out (we did not wish to engage Mr. Rudd again) we were informed that a trap that should have been installed on the coolant line to catch any debris in the system was missing and that the valve at the coil box was clogged. One side of the system had very high pressure, the other almost none. 

The next issue was the compressor was making a rattling sound inside. The techs that came to look at it informed us that it may keep working for a while, but that something was busted inside and it would quit working. 

We called Mr. Rudd at that point. He was completely drunk when he answered and began yelling that he could't handle it and he didn't do that anymore and hung up.

If he is still in business, I highly recommend avoiding him.
