I was given inaccurate information regarding the status of a delivery for not only a replacement debit card, but an express check for canceling my account.
I contacted the company repeatedly and was told by many different agents different information regarding my concern. I spoke with multiple supervisors who only seemed to repeat this pattern.
My problem began on Dec. 29, 2009 when I called to report my debit card as being lost. They advised the card would reach me in 7-10 business days. I was not provided with the option of express sending of the card. Throughout the following week, I followed up with the company and was lied to by agents telling me that it would not be in my best interest to express send the card, (at that point), and that I would receive it before January 11, 2010. It was not here by that date.
On January 11, 2010, I canceled my account due to the repeated frustration and misinformation, and was told by a supervisor that my card would reach me on or before Wednesday, January 13, 2010. I spoke with another supervisor on the morning of January 12, 2010, who advised that I called after the "cut off" time on Monday, however, she would PERSONALLY make sure the check reached me by Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Once I received a tracking number, I saw that FedEx (on their website) had not received the package and contacted them to confirm this information. I called RushCard Services back and they were very adamant, per the FedEx website, that I would receive the check on January 13, 2010.
On Wednesday, January 13, 2010, I took off of work to be home to sign for a check that never came. Three hours prior to the delivery time, I contacted RushCard services to confirm that it would indeed be coming today. I was assured that it would. By 4PM EST, I had not received my check, nor did the FedEx tracking website indicate that the check had been picked up from the RushCard facilities. I, again, contacted RushCard and was informed that the check was now coming on Thursday, January 14, 2010. I spoke with a supervisor who also confirmed this information as well as refunding the $30 that I paid to receive the check today, Wednesday, January 13, 2010.
Throughout this process I have not had any access to my money. I have had to take off of work (Wednesday, January 13, 2010), and be tardy or not in on Thursday, January 14, 2010, due to waiting for the arrival of my check.
