Do not sign a contract with Ryan Homes. Do your homework first because they will smooth talk you into believing that everything will work out and you will go to closing and will soon have keys to your very own home. As soon as there is a slight drop in credit or your buying status change they will not return your hard earn money. I am very interested in a class action lawsuit against Ryan Homes/NVR mortgage. I believe there are many others that lost money in Ryan Homes homebuying tactics. I agree with the person who mentioned a comment about low-to moderate income. Also we also may be able to address if the qualifications or the kept deposits only are targeted in low income or minority neighborhoods. Let's work together to stop Ryan Home from keeping families monies.

It seems Maryland is a major hot spot for Ryan Homes scams and NVR mortgage fraud. It's also oddly the same area that keeps NVR alive in this otherwise bad housing market. Of course I suspect NVR will do ANYTHING to stay in black, since their $300,000,000 year of losses and the following chapter 11 experience.
Does it make you feel any better knowing NVR's mortgage bank president only makes about $300,000 a year salary + about $5,000,000 a year in added bonuses? Me neither. It must be what they get for pulling off these extra little scams I keep hearing about.
Somehow the biz people can still sell the concept they are victims of predatory customers to government regulators, or a now obvious lack of, and they have protections against home buyers, I think just so they can do this sort of thing.
