THESE GUYS SHRINK WRAP AND SEAL DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE (COMPACT DISCS) AND PLACE THEM ON THE RETAIL FLOOR TO SELL TO UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS. THEIR RETURN POLICY IS RIGID AND THEIR EMPLOYEES SHOW LITTLE REGARD FOR CUSTOMERS. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT.

THE SHERMAN OAKS STORE SOLD ME A SEALED BOX SET THAT WAS MISSING DISC #1 AND CONTAINED TWO DISC #2s. THE STORE ATTENDANT REFUSED TO REPLACE OR REFUND WHEN I RETURNED WITH A RECEIPT. THE CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS WAS SENT A REGISTERED LETTER WITH MY COMPLAINT AND COPIES OF MY RECEIPTS FOR THAT DAY WHICH TOTALES OVER $200.00 (A DECENT CUSTOMER FOR A USED RECORD STORE)

I ESTIMATE I HAVE SPENT BETWEEN $700 - $800 PER YEAR IN THEIR STORE - THIS IS THE SECOND AND LAST TIME I AM GOING TO LET THIS HAPPEN TO ME (THEY WON'T HAVE TO RENAME THEIR STORE "THIRD SPIN"? IPOD AND THEIR CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD PUT THEM INTO BANKRUPTCY WITHIN THE NEXT TWO YEARS, ANYWAY.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - YOU CAN FIND BETTER DEALS ELSEWHERE SO WHY TAKE THE CHANCE!

SECOND SPIN MAKES IT RIGHT!

AFTER ONE MONTH MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT WAS FORWARDED TO THE DISTRICT MANAGER FOR SECOND SPIN (MR. BRUCE KILGOUR). HE CONTACTED ME IMMEDIATELY AND WORKED WITHIN MY SCHEDULE TO MEET THE NEXT TIME I WAS IN THE VALLEY. WHEN WE MET, HE REPLACED MY DEFECTIVE BOX SET, AND GAVE ME A $20.00 GIFT CARD FOR MY TROUBLE -A REAL NICE GESTURE. IT APPEARS THAT THE WEBSITE AND THEIR STORES DO NOT COMMUNICATE MUCH BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL STORE SET UP THE WEBSITE AND THE NEW OWNERS ARE PROBABLY GOING TO BUILD A NEW ONE...............IN EITHER CASE THIS STORE "MADE IT RIGHT" WHEN THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINT MADE IT TO THE RIGHT GUY. SECOND SPIN HAS BEEN "RESTORED" BACK INTO MY SHOPPING HABITS. AS A LOCAL DJ FOR 18 YEARS IT IS IMPORTANT TO ME TO HAVE A GOOD SOURCE FOR USED CDs - SECOND SPIN DOES PROVIDE A WIDE VARIETY OF MUSIC THAT SOMETIMES WILL NOT BE CARRIED AT OTHER USED STORES - I WAS SECRETLY WANTING THEM TO MAKE IT RIGHT BECAUSE I WOULD MISS OUT ON SOME COOL STUFF IF I WOULD HAVE DROPPED THEM FROM MY BUYING CIRCLE! SECOND SPIN ROCKS!

I E-MAILED THE COMPANY ONE MORE TIME AND DID NOT RECEIVE A REPLY..... THEIR ONLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE APPARENTLY IS COMPARABLE TO THE TREATMENT YOU GET IN THEIR STORES - ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE UNLESS YOU WANT TO REWARD ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! TRY ROCKAWAY, AMOEBA, OR RECORD TRADER THEY KNOW HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS AND HAVE A BETTER SELECTION AND PRICE (THEY DON'T HAVE TO SUPPORT THAT HIGH COST VENTURA BLVD LEASE SPACE)!!! HAPPY SHOPPING!!!
