David Ettenberg approached me in March 2012 to help him attain better ranking for a number of keywords related to his ShaneDietResort com site and increase visitor traffic.
David and I had a previous SEO contract related fallout over a 2008 SEO consulting and search engine optimization work we have done. At that time he had not paid a bill over $3000 for our time as a SEO consultant for the same website he had launched at that time. I should have really learned my lesson and dont even answer his emails and phone calls early this year, but he convinced me he really needed help in getting more visitors and enquiries for his fitness related businesses.
This March we have agreed VERBALLY on a $3000 SEO project broken into $500 monthly payments to help him better budget his marketing expenses. After completing a detailed keywords and competitors research, we came up with a final keyword
list of about 20 high value keywords. [continued below]....
We had achieved better ranking on a number of keywords for his ShaneDietResort com site over the summer months and early fall of 2012. His company had made a single payment of $500 in May, but after that our invoices were not paid despite dozens of email reminders.
Finally in September he has notified me, he will not pay the rest of the money owing for our SEO services until he sees the link building, social media reports we had completed. Our company had complied, even though we had sent monthly reports of
the work completed in the previous months.
He stated our work had no value, and he will refuse to pay the rest of the money owed until we show him a REAL value of SEO work.
In our VERBAL agreement we didnt specify anything about number of links built, articles submitted or any specific metrics about off page SEO. This SEO project was about improving visitor traffic for a wide range of keywords his site targeted
and proving the value of our SEO services.
We have sent several charts from Google Analytics showing an almost 30% increase from organic search engine traffic from May to September 2012 compared to 2011. For example, we have improved traffic for keywords like boot camp and weight
loss camps by almost 200 new visitors.

Since David Ettenberg cant keep his word as a businessman, I discourage any internet marketing company to enter into contract with this man and his company, unless you take money upfront and have an ironclad contract to protect
