SKS Associates Northern Leasing Systems Billing for under-collected taxes New York, New York

I too got a "Billing Notice of Amount Due and Payable Now" from SKS Associates, stating that there were certain fees and taxes that were not collected during the term of my lease agreement. I closed my account in September of 2009. The letter stated that they were going to deduct $93.17 from my checking account. I called and spoke with Sterling and he did not give me a breakdown of the fees and taxes. I gave him my fax number, so he could fax a detail of what they said I owe. I have yet to receive the fax from them. My question is: can they really come back a year & a half later and bill for these charges? Fortunately that account that they are going to try to collect from is closed and has been been for a while.
