As another person already indicated* the catalogs are too publicly known to enable anyone to earn money when someone sees the face of this catalog printed "world of producst" or even the Bayberry Lane catalog which is a mini catalog.
Improvements could be made in simply producing a general products catalog then allowing member to pick a cover for their catalog. It does not have to be elaborate or cost a lot but the motto here is this is suppose to be our business and from what i see we are promoting SMC as a monopoly and we are paying SMC for that priviledge. Secondary the white price list we can buy things for is a bit higher than what it needs to be.
I undersand that SMC has expenses but from the neareast I can tell we are paying for their warehouse, employees and promoting their company just throught the things we buy in our white price catalog.
In addition to this why are they charging membership fees and renewal fees if we could locate the same products elsewhere for less than 1/2 the price of what they are charging us? Good points are the following: I like many of the products and some do sell well when you can get them.
I like the fact that I do not need to stock an inventory but there again if you presell without the merchandise on hand you might not get it when you need it. I like the fact that they take their time to offer dropshipping to our customers.
I have not experienced any bad customer service or any broken items in my shipments but just the contacts I have had lead me to believe that SMC will try their best to accomodate us.
I guess my major complaint are all the membership fees and the catalog prices being too much. My main complaint however is the catalogs being broadcast on television and too well known for any of us to use them effectively to market these products under our company just from the catalog.
Oh by the way the added benefit of having an online store connected to their warehouse inventory is a good idea but too high priced for the priviledge. I built my own store and I feel that SMC should allow me to connect my store to the inventory as I am a member who has paid the same as all the rest but could not afford the several thousand dollars to have a store under SMC. Thanks for hearing me out and SMC if you are reading this; You have a good thing going but some changes need to be made for the benefit of your members. God Bless
