SNUGGIE BLANKETS ,TV INFOMERCIAL UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD W/O MY PERMISSION CHRGD $53. SHPG AND CHRGD FOR 2 "SETS" BCZ OF DIFFERENT COLOR BUT NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT ADDING ANOTHER SET FOR ANOTHER COLOR; TOTAL THEIFS/SCAM ARTISTS-WALLINGFORD Connecticut

It went exactly like this when I called.....
"Hi You've reached the snuggie order center, thank you for calling! If you are calling to place an order for the promotional snuggie for $19.95 and a free second snuggie press 1...I press 1, than it says "ok. what color would you like for your first snuggie? I say green. Ok, what color would you like for your second snuggie? I say red (as they are supposed to be xmas gifts for my parents and thought it'd be nice to have diff. colors for them. It then goes on to say ok, thank you for your purchase. Now we are also offering on this call only a childrens snuggie for only $10. Would you like to order another kids snuggie? I say no....It tries to talk me into ordering another, I say no again, the VOICE order system (actually begins to sound offended and RUDE) believe it or not, then it goes on to ask me about buying like 50 other products and of course I say no as that was not my intention on my phone call.
I FINALLY get to the end and WAS GIVEN NO RECAP OF MY SNUGGIE ORDER, THE AMOUNT THEY WERE CHARGING MY CARD, OR WAS THEIR IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM MY PERMISSION GIVEN TO CHARGE ANY SORT OF AMOUNT TO MY CARD. In my eyes I was only giving permission to chr the $27.95 total for the one snuggie with free 2nd and free booklight with this order.
I FINALLY get my order 3 mths later like I said and found four snuggies at which point I looked at my cc statement only to find they had charged me $71.70!!!!!!When I called the original order number to find out where my order was I was given another CS number only to find the number was a complete blank and made weird robotic type noices and hung up with no live person, so I had no way to verify my order or find out what they were charging me or why they hadn't verified it as well as that I was NOT AUTHORIZING them to charge more than the $27.95 etc. I FINALLY found their number next to my cc charge and called.
First I talked to Tamesha that really didn't care much about what I had to say, and basically said that I can sent the items back at my expense for shipping and that they would only refund me $15.90 (even though they OVERCHARGED me by $53.80). She than said she would let me speak to the manager and sent me to a voicemail of Sue Hill. Yea like Sue's gonna care or call me back!
I then had my husband call as my level of anger and frustration was at an ultimate high. He spoke with Mary and Mary told him she would give us a credit of $35.85 but we would have to pay to ship back. My husband said "no, my wife and I didn't authorize these charges and we refuse to pay even MORE money for your mistakes! This is unethical business practices and potentially and MOST LIKELY illegal!" She then said she would pass him to her supervisor.
After waiting for more than 10 minutes the guy FINALLY came on and said "hello, hello (as if he "magically" was distant from the phone call, even though my husband and the lady before him could hear one another PERFECTLY...he finally realized my husband was catchin on to his little "i'm losing the signal bs" and said "ok, so I'm going to credit your account for you for the full amount that we billed you incorrectly".......and then magically he hung up on my husband.
At this point I am as angry as it gets and I almost feel sorry for the next person that gets my call (I would call it a customer service rep. but they have ABSOLUTELY NO customer service. Their CS is as bad as their unethical slamming behavior charging s**t we didn't approve on our credit card.) so I get ahold of the person and immediately ask, "who am I speaking with please?" she says "operator 300" and I said "you don't have a name?" she says "we aren't allowed to give out our names, it's just operator 300" and I said "well that's ironice because I just spoke with Tamesha and Mary and they never said they couldn't give me their name? she then quietly but yet with a rude and rash tone says "amelia".
I go on to tell her if she isn't even willing to give me her name I'm not even going to waste my time or any more of my cell phone air minutes on her to try to explain the sitaution when I know if she doesn't even care enough to give me her name she isn't going to give a d**n about helping me. I finally said ok well you obviously know what is going on what can youdo about this....of course her answer was that of everyone else and she says "it's not my fault, my company ripped you off not me, you don't need to yell at me their's nothing I can do about it". She said "I'll just get you my manager". I said "is this a live person or a voice mail and are they going to pretend to not here me and make up more bs or what?" She just puts me on hold with no answer to that question at all and then
Michael the so called Manager gets on and preceeds to tell me " you should have assumed they come in sets when you were asked by the automated system what color you would like for your second snuggie" I said to him "are you serious? so if you were told it's buy one get one free and you order one in one color and your asked what color you want your second one you would assume you are buying these in "sets" and he says yes. I said that's just downright ridiculous....I ask him where all these charges are from and why I didn't get a packing slip with my order or an itemized statement or even a confirmation email or EVEN a recap at the end of the call as to what they were placing on my card, the pricing and they NEVER got my authorization to charge ANY of this to my card.
He then went on to telling me it's not his problem and that they charged me $8.95 for EACH snuggie they sent (mind you they were all in one box shipped together) and on the order system and tv it said the only s/h was $7.95 for the ORDER (not for EACH item)....so he tells me well just send us back the snuggies at your expense and we will credit you when we get them back", I tell him I want an immediate credit on my account right now for th $53.80 they charged without my permission and also I want a prepaid box sent to me to send back the other two snuggies. He says no and tells me not to be surprised about getting more charges after this call. I tell him I'm calling my cc company and reversing the charges and he say's you'll still have to pay us either way so go ahead. I then hang up so angry and so frustrated and feeling SO RIPPED OFF.
Is there anyone out there, a lawyer etc. that can help all of us that got ripped off! Please let me know! These people should not be allowed to get away with this they are stealing from hardworking people and getting away with it without so much as a sneaze. How the hell do these unethical bastards sleep at night!
IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON HOW TO GET MY MONEY BACK OR ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, I WANT TO START ONE, IF A LAWYER IS READING THIS PLEASE CONTACT ME AND ALL THE OTHERS. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO GO DOWN....NOW!!!!
