SPRINT NEXTEL Lies, deceipt, bait and switch, crooked, I could go ON & On. They made promises of $ and didnt pay a dime! Overland Park, Kansas
At that point, it sounded too good to be true. I asked him to submit his proposal to me on paper and he did. He sent over a proposal of a plan that included 17 lines. I replied immediately via email that I didn't need that many phone lines and needed just the 12 lines I currently had but agreed to an additional 2 lines above that. Ok..all sounded great. We agreed and moved on. He then called me to set up the lines of service and to find out which phones I would like for the field guys and the office managers. He then stated that he could also give me some tablets for my managers for only $9.00. Seriously?????? Are you kidding???? No! Caleb said that since i was a long time client that it was only right to get my company set up with the new Sprint system. I was soooo excited and couldn't believe what Sprint was doing for me. So, I hung up the phone with great anticipation. The next day, I received 2 packages from Sprint. The new phones arrived over night. Again, I was totally surprised and excited. I immediately plugged the phones in to get them ready for the next day and call Sprint. The plan was to get the phones transferred over to the proper guys and phone numbers transferred over and hand the guys their new phones!!!
The next day rolls around and I receive 4 more boxes...WHAT IS GOING ON???? I now have 24 new phones and 5 tablets. Wow....someone made a huge mistake. Turns out it was not a mistake at all. Mr. Caleb Hinton took it upon himself to add the phones with a new line for each one!!! He added a total of 24 new phone lines to my account!!! Apparently, this was the only way that we could receive the discounted price for the tablets. Seriously???? This WAS NEVER mentioned, discussed or agreed to . By now, I have send SEVERAL emails to Mr. Hinton, all of which were ignored. I called customer service and they said the best thing to do. Take all the phones to the nearest store to get everything straightened out. Through many, many hours of my time with various Sprint store management and employees, my account was successfully straightened out. No one could figure out why this Mr. Hinton would do such a thing to me. Everyone at the store was disgusted and they guaranteed me that this would be taken care of and Caleb would be disciplined, and possibly fired. Add phones on to an account????? Take up a ton of everyone time to fix it. AND..too top it off, all the excess charges on my phone bill for the ALL the phones, the tablets and the fees for transfer. But I had nothing to worry about...RIGHT??? All of this would be reimbursed to me in the next few months.
GUESS WHAT???? Yup, no discount, no reimbursement, no money back, no compensations, NO NOTHING!!!! Just a lot of my time and money are gone. I contacted everyone I could regarding the situation. AND TO THIS DAY...NO ONE has helped me out. I have talked to supervisor after supervisor of department after department and everyone said the same thing..."too bad you canceled those lines and voided the contract" I NEVER AGREED TO 24 LINES!!! Who needs @$ new lines of service???? I simply was switching my current lines from my Nextel account over to Sprint with no costs to me....That is what I was promised. I took it upon myself to send back all those new phones so I breached the contract! ME??? The phones i didn't order, which by the way was proven time after time that Mr Caleb Hinton did this without my consent. But, because I canceled the new lines...the ones HE ordered, i will not receive any compensation.
So, I'm out thousands of dollars and an endless amount of my time..on the phone, in my car driving to the store a total of 5 times and then more time on the phone. I have been completely and utterly worked over by Sprint. They lied, cheated and stole from me and my small business and there is nothing I can do. I'm stuck with all the fees, all the charges...and I am stuck with a service which is HATED by my management and my employees. The Sprint, direct connect is terrible. We had Nextel because of the direct connect, and now the direct connect works only on a few phones and intermittently on the rest. Thats a whole other issue. I'm still waiting for them to figure out how to fix the phones that dont work!
I'm sure that I'm not the only "sucker out there. We all need to come together and let this company know that they can not continue to do this to anyone else. I am completely disgusted by what they did to me and the money that I'm out. In these hard times, I was not counting one the excessive costs which i incurred through this transition from Nextel to Sprint. BUYER BEWARE> Sprint is scandalous and underhanded!Sue
