These people are a bunch of crooks. I can not believe Kirby can still be in business with the type of people they employ. Their employees don't listen, are ill-willed and verbally irresponsible.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY OR AT LEAST THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!Long story short, I purchase high end appliances for my kitchen and home if the quality is worth the price point! A sales rep from SVK moorpark location came to our home and did his sales pitch for nearly 3 hours and at some point we decided the vacuum was worth our while. Now, shortly after the purchase we found the item to be DEFECTIVE. not doing anything it was PROCLAIMED TO DO. at which point, I contacted LAUREN, who said, well, sorry, you only have three days after purchase to complete the return??? I was like well, that was not said to me before, during or after the purchase! (sales rep probably thought it valuable to leave that information out!)
At which point, I advised that it is not logical to spend 1350 on a product and have NO backing. Did they expect me to do my upholstery, carpet, regular vacuum, etc ALL within 3 days!!! Come on now. Well, Lauren promised me a follow up call after she spoke to her higher ups...Guess what? She never called back. I tried to call her back to follow up and was deterred by other employees screening the call advising she was not in the office. I was fed up and proceeded with a cc dispute. I WON THE DISPUTE. and five months later!!! (dispute occured in oct 2010) I get a call from a SYLVIA (MONSTER) who tries to arrange a pick up of the vacuum.
Now, shortly after the dispute closed I asked my husband to take the "hunk of junk "out of the house because there was no space for it and since LAUREN never called back, we got rid of the darn thing. Now, when I call Sylvia back to advise we do not have the vacuum she does not fall short of losing her mind and this is where the misconduct continues. Enraged, she begins shouting expletives and threatens to sue me I was in TOTAL shock that a Customer service person would talk to ANYONE like that. Needless to say I hung up on her. After reflecting on her vulgar behavior I was agitated and called back to say I didnt appreciate her language or treatment towards me. (mind you I was very calm and professional because I do work in csr and know how to maintain my cool, even if I am dealing with someone who is emotionally out of control.
So, I gave her the run down about the reason for the dispute, etc and advised no one ever got back to me and it was ludicrous that months later they just expected I would have this vacuum, more like a MACHINE. She proceeded with the expletives and after I said, do you really talk to people llike that? she says " Oh I own it honey, Its F-ing b*tches like you who take advantage of our sales people. Etc etc. I told her she lacked professionalism and she continued with the cuss words and put downs and said she would be taking me to court (for which she and the co have no basis) i won fair and square. I wish they would have shown this much dedication when I initially called to resolve the problem with their merchandise.
Nevertheless, they went back and charged my cc as of recently without my consent/authorization. Here goes another CC dispute! Yeah, stand up company you are!!! And guess what? I still use my $75 dollar (((competitor's name redacted))) which works 100X better than their ridiculous product. sorry, …allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
