I gave saban's proof of insurance so i didnt have to buy thiers.  I had the insurance card and even faxed it to sabans.  At the rental return he demanded i purchase insurance threatening me to call the police.  i paid him 300+ dollars to get out of there as they literally imprisoned me in the store.  Isnt this insurance fraud since i already returned the car?

I don't think it was a good idea for you to pay them 300 to get out of there. I wouldn't have paid them that. I would have called the police and told them that you are being held in a car rental place against your will, and the owner is threatening you about insurance. They were holding you hostage and that is against the law.
