The next month Safe Home Security/aka Alarm Service put the charges back on. I contacted the bank again and had the charges reversed and blocked this vendor from future debits.
I received a bill in the mail (now Feb 2013) with a balance due of $333.00 for charges after the house was sold. These charges are for Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, after the house was sold and they stated that they would continue to post additional monthly charges until the amount was paid in full and the account cancelled and would initiate a collection action if necessary.

When customers sell or lose their homes before fulfilling their payment schedule, we suffer a financial loss. However, our agreements typically include a buyout arrangement to relieve customers of their full financial responsibility in the event they sell or lose their homes before completion of their contract. Perhaps that's why we continued billing you. Contact us at 800-833-3211 and ask for a manager. They will investigate your matter.

Now that you're in deep do-do with them, I would be careful with what information you provide them. If you come in contact with them, make sure to document everything they say, who you're talking with, etc. Anything they promise, make sure they send you an official letter before accepting anything. They will try to convince you that you'll get free service or that they will cancel your service, but they will still charge you. I would suggest getting consultation from a lawyer for possible action in the future. File complaints with the Attorney General of California, the Attorney General of Connecticut, and Attorney General of Massachusetts. The complaints won't really do much for you, but when they get hit with a Class Action Lawsuit, at least you'll be part of it and get compensated.
Good Luck and Best Wishes. The company you're dealing with his horrible. One of the most horrendous and predatory businesses out there that prey on people.
