I was contacted by a credit card company called salute visa gold, they told me i had an outstanding balance with them. the man i talked to did not speak English, i tried to tell him that we do not have a credit card with you . in fact we do not carry any credit cards. i asked him to tell me some information on this,as when was this card issued , he would not give me any information, all he said was i should have a bill in the mail and he hung up the phone.  well 3 days later i received a bill from Midland funding LLC,  they recentley purchased this salute visa gold account ,they are a debt collection company.and they are saying that they will settle with me for 40 percent off of my current balance .  i do not have a balance period. i have never heard of salute visa gold. and i will not pay for something that i do not owe. this has now gone against my credit score. and i cannot even get a copy of this so called account from anyone. shame on this company in our hard times they are trying to make a buck off of the innocent . needless to say i am going to fight this tooth and nail.  i am going to the police station and filing fraud on this company. i am going all out here. is there anything else that i can do about this matter? thank you

Why Is salute reporting closed at consumer request

Why Is salute reporting on my credit file.  Closed at consumer request.   I did not request the account to be closed.  Salute Is reporting this to everyones credit file.

I have their letter still,  that they have closed the account themselves.   But why are they turning around peoples backs,  & putting on our credit that we closed the account.

This will make us look bad for other lenders,  that I requested the account to be closed.

Why does salute have to cause more  problem's,   when they could had just put (closed @ credit grantors request).

Because I have the proof,  the letter they sent me.   That they closed the account. 

This will make them look bad.   All I have to do Is who the,  lender that they closed the account not me!.
