Salute Visa Urban Trust Bank cancelled all credit cards still trying to charge monthly maint fee and will not refund annual fee I just paid last month Atlanta Georgia

I have had my Salute Visa for about two years now and have never been late and have had several credit line increases without asking for them. I paid my account faithfully and several times a month made payments on line out of my bank account electronically. I was a good customer and after a divorce at a young age was excited to be able to rebuild my credit and it came in handy for traveling for work.

Much to my surprise, I went on line today to make a payment and noticed that my credit line was $0!! I called the 877 number, waited about 25 minutes to speak to a customer service person who could barely speak english and he advised me that all of the credit cards for this program were canceled. He said it was nothing I did and that I was a good customer and was in good standing. He advised that there was a letter that was sent on November 4th via US mail. He informed me that I was responsible for the balance of my account, which I have no problem with as they were my charges and then here's the whopper...he said I would still be charged a monthly maint fee and then I asked about being refunded for my annual maint fee that I was just billed for last month which he replied no. I am very upset by this and feel that it is wrong to continue to charge a maint fee for an account that is closed. I am also concerned about how this will impact my credit having a closed account with a balance. Even though this was out of my control and was and always have been in good standing. I am going to file a report with the Massachusetts Attorney General about this. Others should do the same in their respective states if they have been effected by this!
