Essentially, I felt Sam's would offer a stable employment based on appreciating an individuals hard work and simply moving forward based upon that. NOT TRUE! First you come offf unemployment eager to work, simply to find after a couple of months time that your hours have been reduced to that of a 16 yr old. Pretty much you are better off with the steady income of unemployment, sad to say but very true. After numerous attempts to discuss said situation you continue to come up against a wall. Every "person in charge" blames it on another "person in charge", after some time you simply give up. Reportedly Shawn Gill the GM was having an affair with another manager Marisol, whom lacks all necessary "people skills" that would ultimately render her an effective manager, essentially she is as all associates would say a rather horrible individual whom relishes in the simple fact that she holds "power", notice I did not say she holds respect, as she does not. Shawn gets fired and Marisol gets promoted, hmmmm.... I am a women, and I think that smacks of complete bad judgement. Come on you "corporate guys" please go and speak with all of us "hourly associates" your beautiful club is being squandered and will eventually rendered useless. Employee's that are treated well and FAIRLY generally put out and forth excellent work. We need to know we matter, not just a select few, that have managed to endear ourselves to Managers that enjoy "ass kissers". Essentially, Sam's club endeared themselves to the surrounding community by "making" 60 new jobs when we opened. Basically we are the working poor now, most of us were finacially better off on unemployment yet now we are "stuck", and our work will eventually reflect this. For God's sake get Marisol out of there, that "women" is a legend in the club, she has slept with more hourly employee's than you can imagine and has no respect from staff to COS's, member's too. Wake up Sam's! take care of your people so we can take care of members that give you YOUR jobs too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but nothing here sounds like anything more than normal workplace "politics" and "gossip". You are not forced to work there, if you don't like it then quit.
