We are disappointed Samsung won't stand behind the tv I purchased LNT4661FX tv Mar 2008. Authorized Samsung service providers we've spoken to, and user reports on the internet confirm the problem capacitors used in the power supply that is causing the same power up issue for us, why doesn't Samsung? Or is it Samsung knows but doesn't want to do anything about it?
The symptoms begin with the TV making multiple attempts to turn on, clicking until finally successful. Worse from a cold start.
We bought the product because of the Samsung name thinking it represented a quality product. Samsung's response to the capacitor issue puts that into question.
