Samsung Holding my mp3 player hostage, customer service liars New Jersey New Jersey
I purchase a purple y10 mp3 player at Bestbuy on Feb 14, 2008. I used the mp3 player several times over 3 weeks. I went to use the mp3 player and it would not turn on. I tried to charge it but it was showing the battery was full. I tried to look for my reciept but could not find it, plus now it was after 30 days and I figured Bestbuy would not take it back.
I called Samsung and thought it would not be a problem I would send them my broken mp3 player and they would send me a new one boy was I wrong.
First they tried to have me reset it and try different things it did not work so she said I had to send it back to be fixed. It was under warranty and she said it would take 10 to 14 DAYS. She sent me a label but I had to pay to send the mp3 player back. I was not happy but I did it any way. I waited over two weeks and no mp3 player. I called and I was told that it would take 10 to 14 business days not days and they waiting for a part to come in. I was not happy but waited patiently another two weeks. After another phone call I finally recieved my mp3 player a few days later.
My mp3 player did not work and it had a scratch on it. I called again irate. I insisted they send me a label where shipping was paid. It took them over a week and another phone call to get them to "re-email" the label. I doubt they sent it in the first place. I sent it out with a note explaining the scratch was not there before but it was ignored. Before I sent the mp3 player I was assured that if it was not repaired this time I would receive a new one.
After another two weeks and another phone call I received a working mp3 player. I turned it on and turned it off. Went to use it later that day and once again would not turn on. I called and had to insist I receive a new one. One again waited over two weeks for a label to send it back.
I waited and waited for my new mp3 player Finally called to find out what was going on they said they sent me a email asking me if a red one would be ok instead of purple. I NEVER received that email. I told them I don't care what color they send me just send me one. Another week no email saying they sent it. Called again, mysteriously the order for a new one was put in that very day.
Waited another week and a half called again. I was very rudely informed that it takes 14 to 21 business days from date a order. I was ASSURED it would be at my house by July 3. July 3 I call and ask where it is. I am told it is on order and they don't know when I will get it. I am told They will email there supieror and call me back. I have not been called back yet.
I feel this company is taught to lie and evade. They have stolen from me and I have assured them I will not rest until I receive my mp3 player or my money.
Do not ever buy anything Samsung they don't care about the consumer at all.
