I recently bought a puppy at San Diego Puppy Inc. She was obviously sick when we bought her. I haven't had a puppy for a very long time, but I knew that she was not as playful, alert, or eating as much as a healthy puppy should. I understand that puppies can get sick, especially in an environment with other puppies, due to the fact that they are living organisms. My puppy was home one day when I had to take her to the vet due to labored breathing and coughing and not eating. (The vet was amazingly wonderful.) She had to be there overnight and have oxygen and IV in her little neck for fluids. She is on 3 different medications, but she is happy and eating:) It was very sad for me and my family to go through this. With animals, I know comes happiness and sad times, but the fact that the bill was $634.57 and David was asked to please pay it, and he refused, I think that is unacceptable because she was sold to me unhealthy and dying. I am not some crazy activist here, just a concerned mommy of a new baby girl. I hope that what David did, in this case, didn't do, doesn't sit well with him. I know it's his business, but he's not selling furniture, he is selling puppies that need to be handled with care and, if need be, a vet bill paid!!! I hope no one has to go through what I had to. Maybe the puppies should get rechecked by a vet right before the puppy is sent on his/her way with their new families. Please consider that David.
