I was looking for part time work and chose to apply as a phone psychic for One Sun.
Their site stated that they wanted ethical, talented psychics who had knowledge of Tarot, Metaphysical etc. I thought, great! They think like I do.
After my first week, the 'coach' called me and stated he was disappointed that my phone states were low. My stats ranged from 10 minutes to 30 minutes and they wanted a consistent 30 minutes per call. In other words, keep them on the line even if there isn't much else to say during their reading.
I complied and brought my stats up. Then the next week my 'coach' called and asked me to take phone time in the evening in order for me to get more calls. I did so. I thought things were going great! I loved working with the clients that called and I was happy feeling like I was actually helping some people.
Then the next week I received an email from the lead 'coach' (marketing manager) stating they were no longer keeping part-time readers and that from now on, the psychics had to log in 30+ hours a week or their listing would be pulled. Their reasoning: repeat customers are not able to reach their favorite psychic when they need them.
At first I thought they had just changed the contract due to demand...until I kept an eye on their site and I saw that their advertisement still advertises psychic work that allows you to work your own schedule.
I am an ethical psychic and I am surprised at how psychics are treated (I am sure I am not the only one that had to deal with their ever-changing demands) not to mention the fact that they want you to keep people on the phone longer in order to get more money out of them.
Not unusual for a company to want to make more money but they didn't really want repeat customers as much as psychics that could rip their clients off by trying to lure them into staying on the line longer.
Being on standby for 30 hours a week is basically working for full time with no benefits and no guarantee pay as most of those hours you do not necessarily receive calls.
