We have rented several vacation homes in the sandbridge area of Virginia Beach. Never have we had such an ordeal than we did when we rented through Sandbridge Realty. We arrived and the hot water heater was not working. We immediately called in and the person on the phone wa actually rude to us right off the bat! I'm sorry but when you pay over $7000 for a week's vacation at the beach, you expect to have hot water, and if something goes wrong, you expect to be treated with kindness or at least profesonally. We were without hot water for three days. They sent someone who said they fixed it after several hours and they didn't. We had to call in again to let them know, only to face being treated rudely yet again. All we wanted was to be able to take a hot shower. The other issue was cleaning. The home was clearly diry and was not well maintained at all. We found chips and wrappers in the couch where the sleeper sofa is and a half eaten cookie. The comforters on the beds in the bedrooms were threadbear and had stains. We washed them ourselves because they would not send anyone to clean or help take care of the items that should have been done before we arrived. They refused to refund us any money at all for the incovenience and on top of that, the Manager, Jim Moffat was an utter a*****e when we finally were able to get a call back from him. Again, totally unprofessional and rude.

If you want a good experience rent through someone else. We will let everyone we encounter know that Sandbridge Realty is a nightmare and ripoff.

Ryan RR I am very sorry if you had a problem with one of our rental homes. You don't mention the house or the dates that you stayed with us. I don't have any record of you calling in and talking to me. Things do go wrong with homes just like it would with your own home.. We work very hard to get a problem fixed as quickly as we can. I am not able to look up your records because I don't have any additional information.

We have over 220 cleaners on the payroll in the summer and over 40 inspectors to review their work..  We also have cleaners on call to send down if we fail to meet your expectations. Again I have no paperwork to look to see if you called in when you found the house not clean to your satisfaction and what we did to respond to your needs.

If you had soiled comforters we have replacements we could have easily brought down to you.. I agree that should not have been dirty in the first place and I am sorry our inspectors missed seeing this.. We do whatever we can to correct any situations that might arise as quickly as possible at the time of your stay. As a company we have put in many procedures to fix issues as soon as they are brought to our attention..

Refunds are not issued per your contract. Sandbridge Realty does not own the properties we manage them for our owners. I am very sorry your were dissatisfied with our service and did not have the great vacation experience that most of our guest experience. We have well over 300 reviews with flipkey with a 4.3 rating..thank you Jim
