Corporate Advocacy Program™
While they are fair with the hourly amount they are willing to pay their employees do not be surprised to have a cheque bounce every single month. The owners will replace the bounced cheque with another one and if that one bounces they MAY, replace with cash; but will likely replace with yet another cheque. It can take up to 4 months to get your wages.
One of the three owners can be verbally abusive and will yell at people for small mistakes or just taking too long at their tasks. Added to the fact that any position for the company is high stress, this can make coming to work difficult.
Finally, most employees are asked to work long shifts; especially if they are in the kitchen, but overtime pay will never be given.
If you have no problem with it taking months to get paid, having your bank not trust your employers cheques, getting yelled at at least once a week, and not receiving overtime pay then this is the place for you!

POSTED: Friday, October 19, 2012This company is located in Toronto, Ontario, not in any "state".
Please refer to the Ontario Labor Laws for any information on overtime hours... by the way, that's in Canada - which is not in the united states.

POSTED: Wednesday, July 18, 2012http://www.dol.gov/dol/topic/wages/overtimepay.htm
An employer who requires or permits an employee to work overtime is generally required to pay the employee premium pay for such overtime work. Employees covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) must receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek of at least one and one-half times their regular rates of pay. The FLSA does not require overtime pay for work on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, or regular days of rest, unless overtime hours are worked on such days.

Unless your particular state or you have a contract with your employer that states otherwise overtime pay is only paid when you work in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.

Overtime pay
AUTHOR: Ashley - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, July 17, 2012
POSTED: Tuesday, July 17, 2012Are you working in excess of 40 hours a week? You are not entitled overtime pay for working long shifts. You are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in the same work week. If you are working more than 40 hours a week without overtime pay you need to contact your state labor board.
If you are just working 10-12 hour days but under 40, then there's no overtime due.
