No where on the website does it mention "discount program!" It's hidden in tiny letters under "Terms & Conditions." Try calling - you go to an answering service where English is a third language.
I happened to look at my Discover card charges on line before I received the 4 bottles. I immediately tried to contact them and Discover. No response from them - you can fax them, or leave a message. Neither work.
Discover backed them up! My rebuttal was that no where on the "terms and conditions" did it tell me I had 15 days to cancel, only that I would be enrolled. No where did it tell me how to contact them. The T&C, state that if they can't bill you the $199.98, then they will bill your $54.84 for the initial bottle (where's the free for S&H ever come into play).
I offered to pay the $54.84 to get rid of them. They refused, saying that Discover had issued my credit so they would be double crediting me. No, it was billed back to me by Discover who stood behind this scam of a business.
I finally got an e-mail from someone at metabolfuel who would only say "ma'ma, if you hadn't disputed the charges, we could have refunded your money, but now we can't so we stand behind our charges." Liar! How can you contact someone that doesn't want to be contacted.
I told her I was writing the Attorney General of Utah and the BBB and sent her a copy of my letter. Last I heard of her! I told her I was going to list Metabolfuel on e-bay so I could tell everyone what a rip they were. She didn't care.
Let's stop them. Here is the Attorney General's info and the BBB. The more we scream, someone has to listen.

A refund, finally!

I had exhausted all hope in receiving a refund. Discover stood behind them. Apparently a credit card company allows two disputes. Because I was billed two months for the $99, Discover counted that as my second dispute and wouldn't look into the matter again. I argued that it did not say I only had 15 days to cancel my "discount program," that it stated in 15 days I would be enrolled. Discover stood behind the company by saying I basically povided information that sided with the merchant! My two friends used Bank of America for a debit and a charge, BAM stood behind them and issued refunds! It seems that "Lisa" is the only Metabolfuel customer service rep you will ever get. I was never provided a number to talk with customer service. I could only e-mail and fax. And that got me nowhere, but frustrated. In all my e-mails, it did seem that if your credit card company issued a decision to side with you, they wouldn't pursue it. All she would do is state, "ma'am, you shouldn't have disupted the charge. We won't issue a refund because you disputed the charge. That's no way to treat a company." LOL!!!!!!
By the power of the internet, search longer and harder. You need to go much higher than Metabolfuel's customer service (which doesn't exist). I would never have believed this person was attached to Metabolfuel. He was the kindest and nicest person you would ever want to meet.
