If u like driving next to Kindergartens, playgrounds, grade schools, churchs, high schools, thru residential neighborhoods, down streets with low hanging tree branchs and thru downtown urban centers and worse you're gonna love being forced to use the GPS Schitter has provided the drivers.
Why did Schitter stop providing the safe driver entered truck route directions you ask? Cause an executive airhead cheesehead in Green Bay has figured out that using only the GPS can shave a few tenths of a mile off the route trip and damn the safety issues cause with Schitter it's profit first and safety second!
And the street level directions are just as fouled up. Schitter should be ashamed of itself letting its greed get the better of safety. Only when the accidents start happening and massive judgements follow will the executives awake from their deep slumber in Green Bay.
Common sense would have told the airhead cheesehead execs that a website needed to be created whereby the drivers could use and edit the safe driver entered truck route directions but that would have cost money which goes against Schitter's new creed of PROFITS FIRST AND SAFETY SECOND.

another lieing OSR fibbing about Schitter National

As for using the Rand McNally Atlas Schitter told me to use a piece of string to route myself to my destinations and even a dumb rookie knows that it don't show city streets all it does is show interstate exits. Why u feel the need to lie not quite sure but if you are an OSR you've let yourself be brainwashed by Schitter National and when you retire with no pension and no medical benefits you'll realize then that you are a complete fool.

Inaccurate information about the company

I have been with Schneider National for 3 years. In orientation as well as training, they have a whole DAY dedicated to understanding how to properly trip plan. The company even has a test that can literally make or break you based off of trip planning. In no way have they ever told me not to trip plan. What do you think this is? They even provide you with a Rand McNally Atlas free of cost. Out of 3 years of driving, the Qualcomm GPS has only misrouted me into a bad position one time. I don't get your validity as I see absolutely nothing in common with the company from what you are presenting.
Schneider's pay isn't the best in the world, I do have to say that. It's not bad, it's just mediocre. I have been with a bad company, and Schneider is very straight forward in their intent and constantly stress safety. You can ask any pumpkin truck at a truck stop and see if he/she agrees with what i'm saying. It's true, it sounds like you didn't do your end of the bargain and got canned. You have to actually work for this company, and there's a LOT of freight to be moved!

Dumb rookies being told they must follow screwed up GPS by air head DBL's

Any lawyer looking into an accident should check to see if the driver was forced to follow a dangerous route when ordered to do so by ding-a-ling management so the blame can be shifted to Schitter National where it belongs. Common sense dictates that the safe driver entered truck routes be put on the internet where they can be accessed and edited but the morons running this outfit are too f*cking dumb to do that cause after all that would cost money and would go against Schitter's new creed of PROFITS FIRST & SAFETY SECOND.

I see Schneider is still at it.

Saving money, and bringing headaches to the drivers. When I was there, they made the truck stops stop giving the 3 or 4 cent per gallon incentive that truck stops used to give, to drivers. Instead they decided that the discount should go to them.
Seriously, I hope they are out of business one day. They cost me my truck. Any new drivers that are considering Schneider, DON'T.

The Company has defined the mileages for what they charge and pay by this system.
The employees will feel that they are required follow that routing because that is what they are paid for.
I guarantee at least one dispatcher will loose his temper at a complaining driver and tell him: "If you don't follow the route provided and get in a crash YOU WILL BE FIRED" I am paraphrasing of corse, there is no use predicting what swear words he would use.
Even if the above is not said many drivers will assume it is the intent of the company to do this.
Truck drivers have brain fade moments every day, just like every one else, and when faced by an over pass that is just slightly low or worse yet is a dyslexic nightmare of having all the correct numbers but in the wrong order, now you have a mess. The driver will be at fault.
And finally when a seriously overwhelming accident happens and there is a proper investigation by someone like the NTSB it will all get traced back to this one stupid act by management removing the safe route information from the drivers use.
Then we will wonder how the company could be so stupid.
