Scott Crompton through various companies contacts the management team of small public companies claiming ability to increase volume, move the share price upward by introducing the company to shareholders, brokers and utilizing social media strategies. He utilizes licensed brokerage firms to bolster his reputation with his potential victims.
He then sends a contract in the name of Arioli Managment Company, Inc which is headed by Edward Arioli. Money is then wired to an account at Suntrust Bank. Shortly after reciept of the funds Mr. Crompton emails the victim that his phone has been stolen and he will be in contact soon. He then disapears.
